Dueling Remotes

In the middle of A self Quarantine week, Mike and Darby take some time after a week off of the podcast to catch up on things and decide to spend a half hour to get on each other’s nerves. We discuss reality TV and how much Darby likes it compared to how much Darby loves it. Next week we’ll go over what shows Mike likes just to see if it Drives Darby crazy. Guaranteed geekdom for sure.

This week brings us more of Mike’s inner nerd and his love for SciFi. Darby discusses the Netflix show, I am Not Okay With This, a coming of age/teen angst series. Mike gets pulled back into Star Trek Picard. We talk about quite a few things and hit on many topics including awful reality TV which pushes Mike into a rant. In this episode we wax nostalgia and take our TV experience back to when we were kids. It’s not pretty and we learn that Mike hates getting interrupted and being a remote/antenna. But we had fun which means we went long again. Renting movies totally sucked 20 years ago and TVs were HUGE!…no. Literally they were big.

Darby called an audible and wanted to record a day early, but didn’t tell Mike. AND she didn’t turn her phone off. Good show regardless and mostly about Netflix shows that he knows nothing about. Ahhh…young love. Mike’s plan is to hijack the next episode by talking about shows Darby really hates (Youtube, anything starting with Star, like Starwars, Stargate, Startrek) There’s about 3 full days of uninterupted binging material.
