Our aim is to keep you up to date with what’s going on, and also offer a glimpse of some of the extraordinary things being done by the thousands of people and hundreds of businesses that make up our estate community.

In 2003, a garage on the trading estate was taken over by a group called The Slough Pit Stop Project. Their aim was to help young vulnerable people in the Slough area by giving them experience in working with motor vehicles, which would hopefully lead onto qualifications and then employment The project now also offers opportunities in construction and catering and they have recently moved into a new building on Buckingham Avenue. This episode finds out how and why the project has been such a success.
Ragus Sugars are the last remaining sugar manufacturer in the UK. They are also a long term tenant at the Slough Trading Estate having been based here since 1928. Only one business has been at STE longer. In this episode, Ben Eastick, director at Regus, talk about the history of the company, and other important matters - such as the joy of eating a syrup sandwich!

The latest episode of the Estate Life Podcast looks at a project called Talking Archives. It was conceived as a way of putting on record the memories of many people who have or had a connection to STE. Years or decades from now they won’t be around to tell their stories and SEGRO felt they had a responsibility to save them for years to come for future generations who may be interested in this history of STE.

This podcast looks at the work of Children Heard and Seen. It is a charity which provides support and interventions for children with a parent in prison. The charity was set up in 2014, with a focus on reducing intergenerational offending, and mitigating the impacts of parental imprisonment for children and young people. They have been the recipient of a grant from the SEGRO Centenary Fund.
