All these independently-functioning local student associations organize international and local activities while representing ESTIEM in their universities. If you want to learn some insights of the IEM field, students' life in an European association, listen to testimonials from alumni or experienced ESTIEMers, you are at the right place! Sometimes our values do not align with what we do, as our guest says. In this episode, we hear Georgia's story. She was in the top ten at university and worked at the biggest companies, but something felt off and not right. She quit her job, focused on herself and found her own way. This conversation will bring inspiration and experience to our lives. Until next time, see you somewhere in Europe! Stories that move minds. - ESTIEM Podcast
Every big company decision — what gets funded, what gets cut, what "success" even means — comes down to one job: controlling. At this episode we host Christian Glies to pull back the curtain on how businesses turn raw numbers into real decisions, the conversations not everybody talks about, and the background of every business.
In this episode, we dive into what it really means to enter the workforce as Gen Z — beyond the polished LinkedIn posts and job descriptions. Our guest, Esin Julia Rathert, currently working at BCG, shares her journey and insights on transitioning from student life to the corporate world, and what top companies actually expect from young professionals. This episode is especially valuable for anyone considering a career in consulting or aiming to enter top firms, offering honest advice and practical insights to help you navigate the path ahead.
In this episode of the ESTIEM Podcast, we explore the connection between dreams, purpose, and the choices that shape our lives. Our guest Giorgia Vignando works in the aviation industry and is also active as a mentor and coach, supporting others in discovering their direction and potential. Together, we reflect on ideas from the book What Is Your Dream? by Simon Squibb and discuss how purpose can energize our lives, guide our decisions, and help us move beyond fear of failure. If you've ever wondered how to find your dream or align your work with what truly fulfills you, this conversation is for you. ✨
What if your weaknesses aren't actually holding you back, but helping you grow? In this episode of the ESTIEM Podcast, we talk about self-efficacy, the idea of long and short arms (your talents vs. your challenges), and why constantly pushing yourself can slowly lead to burnout . Together with Paolo & Virginia, academic leaders of Summer Academy, we reflect on stress, balance, boundaries at work, and reconnect with yourself. This episode is for you if: * you feel like you always have to do more to be "enough" * stress feels constant, not temporary * you're at the start of your career * you want growth, but not at the cost of yourself Stories that move minds 🎙️
