Mac @ Night: S03E02 - Hello E-DUB-NATION and 11th Street Kids! It's the 26th episode of Mac @ Night and tonight I'm answering the question: "When Is It Time To Take a Break From Active Roleplaying?". I also touch on the fact the EWC is officially 25 years-old, tell a Dad joke and then talk a little about how rough these past couple of years have been on all of us, but how its not time for any of us to give up on our goals! We are 16 shows into the 23rd Season of Extreme Wrestling and things are just heating up now that StrangleMania is in the bag! I talk a little about what StrangleMania means to the EWC and share my love/appreciation for our staff and the members that make up our eFamily, as the EWC is community first efed! All this and more on tonight's Mac @ Night! I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. I've been in the efed / efedding world since 1995 and running my own efed (The Extreme Wrestling Corporation) on and off since 1997. I come into each podcast with over 26 years of experience in the hobby, but I humbly understand that I don't know it all and don't pretend to. This podcast is my opinion and I appreciate you taking the time to listen. I love efedding, I love the efed world, this hobby is important to me and I genuinely wish to see every efed have longevity and success. As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section on our forums or in the discord "members only" chat. See you next time. Stay safe! Cheers - Mac 🥃 Music by Audiobinger
Mac @ Night: S03E01 - Hello E-DUB-NATION and 11th Street Kids! If this were an episode of FRIENDS, it would be called "The One With The Tooth". So, that's what I've titled the 25th Episode of Mac @ Night. What the heck does that mean? Tune in to find out! A special note for those in our Discord, you'll be seeing a picture included in this channel and to find out why I shared such a horrid picture, listen to this episode! Dang .. it felt good to dust off the mic again. I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. I've been in the efed / efedding world since 1995 and running my own efed (The Extreme Wrestling Corporation) on and off since 1997. Mac @ Night: S02E13 - Today on the 24th Episode of Mac @ Night, I offer a reaction to The Efed Podcast (hosted by Mikey Unlikely) Top 100 (100-51) Efedders of 2021 list. I also offer up some help/suggestions on how to make sure members of your own eFed make the list - and offer some insight into how the list is put together. If you're a fed head that is down in the dumps over the lack of love members of your fed received on this list, I hear you, I feel your pain, I was in the same boat last year (only had 2 Wrestlers from EWC make the list last year) - so I offer up logical insight on how to improve that, like we did this year. If you feel certain feds "spammed" the list with 500 votes, I also use logic and math, to point out, you're wrong. Give this pod a listen so that you can better grasp how this list was comprised, how many people submitted (only 82) and how you can do a better job at making sure the members of your fed get more love next year! To those in the EWC who made the list (17 in the bottom half) - congratulations! I am proud that we got represented like we did. My goal was to go from 2 (last year) to 10 (this year) and that number (17) far exceeded my expectations. I'm excited to see how we rank in the top 50 next week! Mac @ Night: S02E12 - Today on the 23rd Episode of Mac @ Night, I announce some big news we've been holding onto about Season 23 in 2022. You'll want to tune in so you can be one of the first learn about these exciting developments and expansion of the EWC shows. We also have (due to very popular demand) Old Man Jeff back in the studio, and he gives us a recap of sorts, of the 3 Season Finales (BRAWL, RAMPAGE, PRIME) we've had, and look into the final Finale to air this Wednesday when Paramount wraps up our 22nd season. Old Man Jeff would like to add: I plan to start a new Podcast where I argue which cheese is best, it's going to be named "K ..... so?" Oof, even for OMJ standards, that was no gouda. Mac @ Night: S02E10 - Today on the 21st Episode of Mac @ Night, I pivot away from the world of efedding and talk a little more personally on how I feel we are all a 'Work In Progress'. Many of us are dealing with a whole lot in our personal lives, and I know we often face times where it feels like the odds are stacked against us. Sometimes it might feel like we've made so many mistakes, or so many things are going wrong, and we don't know how to deal in those moments. I'm here to remind you that no one alive today is perfect. We are all a work in progress. We can use each day to improve ourselves little by little, and inch closer to our own personal goals. How? Give this podcast a listen. I hope you can take something from this podcast today that will help you in your own journey. Follow along as several handlers in the EWC pop in for a review of our flagship PPV event: StrangleMania. On tonight's LIVE episode, we review StrangleMania XVI, match by match and segment by segment. Tonight's Drink: 1800 Reposado Tequila. 1800 Tequila is a Mexican brand of tequila owned by the Beckmann Family, who also own the Jose Cuervo tequila brand. The 100% blue agave tequila is bottled in Jalisco, Mexico. 1800 is named after the year tequila was first aged in oak casks, and is sold throughout the world. Matured in American and French Oak barrels for no less than six months this pours a pale amber with gold hues. Expect pronounced aromas of caramel, spice, white pepper and smoke; rich mouthfeel with butter toffee, spice and toasty smoke flavors that last on the long finish. Reposado Tequila constantly ranks as one of the best Tequilas on the planet and is a staple in many bars. I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. Mac @ Night: S02E06 - Today on the 17th Episode of Mac @ Night, I switch up the format a little and record on a Sunday afternoon. Why? Because today I talk with my 5 year-old son about wrestling, efedding and video games. We also find out his three favorite things (Darren might wanna listen up), we get some insight into the future X-Division star, and find out who has bigger muscles, me or Finn Bálor. Today's drink: The Pop Shoppe's Cotton Candy. The Pop Shoppe is a soft drink retailer originating in 1969 at London, Ontario, Canada. There is quite the bit of history, from a massive growth in Canada, then huge popularity in the US. NHL'er Eddie Shack ('The Nose') was the predominant spokesman for the brand. They package their drinks in retro/nostalgic type bottles and have a variety of flavors. The one we are sharing today came out in 2019/2020 and is Blue Cotton Candy. Its loaded with sugar but tastes delicious. I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. I've been in the efed / efedding world since 1995 and running my own efed (The Extreme Wrestling Corporation) on and off since 1997. Mac @ Night: S02E05 - Tonight on the 16th Episode of Mac @ Night, I get a little introspective when talking about the quote, "Nothing worth having comes easy". What does it mean? How do we apply that in efedding, but more importantly, how can we apply that in life? I talk about that and share a few of my own struggles. I also discuss a member submitted topic/question, about my personal writing style and influences. Shout out to Roozilla for the suggestion. Tonight's drink: Havana Club Añejo 3 años Rum. Havana Club is a brand of rum created in Cuba in 1934. The soil, weather, and terroir of Cuba make for great-tasting sugarcane. Plus, there is so much sugarcane produced in the country that Cuban rums are made entirely from Cuban sugarcane. This particular bottle has been aged at least 3 years. I mixed it with A&W Root beer, my personal favorite root beer. Mac @ Night: S02E04 - Tonight on the 15th Episode of Mac @ Night, I have Guest after Guest after Guest on the star studded spectacular. Not only does every EWC Staff member (Alex, Darren, Chris, Em & Tony) join our show tonight, I also get to speak with the handlers behind such characters as: Mark Keaton (Jeff), Ace King (Geordie), the legend himself Xplode (Jaden) and if time permits, Jordan Sharpe (Jordan). This is a legendary episode, you don't want to miss it. You spoke, I listened. Tonight for the first time ever in Mac @ Night history, we have a non alcoholic drink! Tonight's drink: The Arnold Palmer. The Arnold Palmer is half lemonade and half iced tea. It's been around since the '60s and thanks to the Arizona Beverage Company, we can buy it in its official form. For those who would like to have a alcohol twist to the drink, try mixing Lemonade with Sweet Tea Vodka. Don't have Sweet Tea Vodka? Then normal vodka mixed with Lemonade and Iced Tea should work just as well. The drink is named after the man, the golfer, Mr Arnold Palmer. Its a drink he enjoys, and after a woman once said: "I'll have that same Arnold Palmer drink", a sensation was born. The drink is also known has a half-and-half, but call it an Arnold Palmer, or a 'Mr. Arnold Palmer' as the man himself likes to call it. Tonight's episode was in particularly done out of love, respect and for a laugh. A laugh that we could all use right about now. So please, enjoy this episode. I hope it makes you laugh. And I'd like to apologize to Jordan Sharpe, we've run out of time. As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section on our forums. See you next time. Stay safe! Cheers - Mac 🥃
Mac @ Night: S02E03 - Tonight on the 14th Episode of Mac @ Night, I do something I don't normally do, I name names. This isn't some airing of dirty laundry, this is a fed head trying to understand the actions of two handlers who, well, make me ask the question Michael Scott once asked: "Why are you the way that you are?" One of these people pretends to be someone else, I mean, isn't that what we all do? Create a fictional character and pretend to be that person? Yes, but this person pretends to be a different handler. Pretends to be new to the game, pretends to have stumbled onto the forums for the first time and creates account after account, pretending to be an entirely different handler each time. The second one, well, you'll have to listen to hear that one. This is a hobby designed to have fun, and while it's perfectly normal to hide certain aspects about your life (it's not a requirement to ever state your real name or anything personal about you) and some have the 'quirk' lets call it, to lie about things they own so that they can feel superior to us, whatever, you do you. It's also perfectly normal to want to try out a different character without people knowing who the handler is. That's fine. What is not normal behavior is pretending to be a whole other person - perhaps even engaging with yourself OOC - and trying to convince us all that you are this whole other person. That falls under the category of both trying too hard, a tad creepy and just straight up bizarre behavior. Why not just make the character and lay low OOC? No one should force you to interact if you don't want to. No one should make it a requirement, that to succeed in an efed, you must be on discord or be all chatty and sharing stuff. We've had plenty in the EWC who keep to themselves, never speak OOC and go on to win titles and reach the HOF. We are all here to enjoy the game, maybe make some friends, tell some stories, but if you find yourself hating a particular efed, and yet you continuously join that efed over and over, and even immediately after a rage quit, you join again .. maybe the problem isn't the fed. Maybe the problem is you. So again I ask those two people: Why are you the way that you are? Tonight's drink: Screwdriver. In my Screwdriver tonight I have Simply Orange (no pulp) orange juice and Smirnoff Fluffed Marshmallow Flavored Vodka. Smirnoff began with a vodka distillery founded in Moscow by Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov in the 1860's. I explain where the name "Screwdriver" comes from and I explain what makes it different from The Harvey Wallbanger. Mac @ Night: S02E02 - Tonight on the 13th Episode of Mac @ Night, I introduce and breakdown the newly signed off on and approved Scorecard! Follow along on the EWC Forums by opening up the new scorecard (https://ewcprez.proboards.com/thread/42374/rp-scoring-score-card) and listen as I break down the changes, what the scoring team should look for and how the handlers in the EWC can try to maximize points. This Scorecard should match up well with all writing types and word limits. Some of the key changes are: - Match Relevancy and Character Development are now equal in points, more importantly both have a better explanation on how to attain these points. I feel like those under a word limit and those who write shoot style promos will especially appreciate the CD adjustment and breakdown as we really strived to level the playing field for all writing types.  I think the scorer knows exactly what to look for now in both off camera and straight shoot styles. While the writer has a clear understand on how to maximize points without having to change writing styles or conforming to some robotic sounding format. - Argument goes from 8 to 5 total points with a better breakdown. "Homework" is replaced with "Research", as that better encompasses what we want to see. I think the break down and explanation is much clearer. Research is now worth 2 max instead of 3, and gone is the "deep dive" (most hated that term) and instead is replaced with a more accurate "up-to-date on current events" which we define as "in the last cycle". So the last month of EWC action.  I go into depth on this in the podcast. - Flow goes from 4 to 3 max points with a much better breakdown of how to earn each point. - Creativity and Entertainment get split up like in the Legends scorecard, which is something people seemed to like. Both are broken down much more. The points stay the same but its clearer on how to attain them / what to look for. - Total Max Points go from 25 max to 20 max - We also replaced "Comments" with "If points deducted, explain why: ###" and "If points deducted, how can the writer improve: ###".   This appears in each section and should solve the biggest issue the majority of the fed has with our scoring: the feedback. You should now clearly know why pts are deducted and how you can improve in that particular area. The most important thing about all this: Write the way you want to write. Don't conform to some odd robotic style. Write for you. Follow along with the podcast to get a full and clear picture, especially if you are a scorer in the EWC. Its important that we are all on the same page and all have a clear understanding. Tonight's drink: Mike's Hard Lemonade. Founded in 1999 and based in Chicago, Illinois. As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section on our forums. See you next time. Stay safe! Cheers - Mac 🥃
Mac @ Night: S02E01 - Tonight on the 12th Episode of Mac @ Night, I talk about how to handle a loss in efedding. We've all been there before, we've all lost a match or seven, we've all missed out on a Championship or lost our Championship. How do we handle those losses? I offer up some suggestions on who you should approach for help as a writer, I remind us all that this is all a hobby and we shouldn't be losing sleep over an outcome in a match, but at the same time we are incredibly invested in our characters so a loss or missed opportunity can still sting. How do we lesson the pain of that sting? What is the proper way to respond to a loss? I discuss these things. I also talk a great deal about legacy, not just in the game but how people will remember us personally. Will we be remembered as a person who constantly complained, or as a person who gave love to the ones who beat us and earned the accolades they got. At the end of the day, we do a disservice to those winning if we make it all about our loss. I hope this podcast will help us find a more positive mindset, a more productive way to handle a loss, and remind us all, that at the end of the day, we are all winners because we got to tell our own story - our way. The score might not always go your way, but as long as you are always improving as a writer and having fun while doing it, that's a big time victory. Tonight's drink: Crown Royal Apple. Established in 1939, Crown Royal is a blended Canadian whisky brand with production being done in Gimli, Manitoba, while the blending and bottling of the whisky is done in a facility in Amherstburg, Ontario. I give a very brief explanation of Whisky, Whiskey, Scotch and Bourbon. Are they all the same? Tune in to find out (or just google the answer). EWC UNSCRIPTED #001 - "StrangleMania" On the very first episode of EWC UNSCRIPTED, we discuss the EWC's flagship pay-per-view event, 'StrangleMania'. We talk about what makes StrangleMania so special, why it draws such high viewers (readers) and is beloved by both those in and outside of the EWC. StrangleMania XV just last year had an incredible 17,822 views, and we discuss that tremendous and unprecedented growth. We also break down the StrangleMania XVI card, we talk about what went into the planning of the matches and gimmicks attached to each one. Listen in as EWC President, Danny Mac, hosts EWC UNDISPUTED, a backstage pass as it were, discussion with fellow EWC Staff. Joined with President Mac on this first episode is: Alex, Chris, Darren and Tony. The EWC has long been considered by many to be the pinnacle efed in the game. Established in 1997, the Extreme Wrestling Corporation continues to provide its growing family with content, and this latest installment will certainly keep things buzzing in their 22nd Season of Extreme Wrestling.

Listen in as President Mac Goes One On One With: Chris In this episode, I sit down with Chris, the handler behind Chris Brock & Antoni Malietoa. We discuss how Chris got started in the world of eWrestling, his passion for professional wrestling, his transitions from roleplayer to staff and our mutual love of electric smokers! We get to peel back the curtain and get a closer look at who Chris is and his adventures in this efed hobby that we call home. Sit back and enjoy, as I go One One One With ... Chris.
Tonight on the 11th Episode & Season Finale of Mac @ Night: The EWC Top 100 Wrestlers of 2020. I break down how the list is made and share a few stats of those who made the list. To view the EWC Top 100 Wrestlers of 2020 in its entirety, please check out the link: https://ewcprez.proboards.com/thread/48492/ewc-top-100-wrestlers-2020 On tonight's Season Finale I am also joined by a very special guest, the handler behind the wrestler who finished in the number ONE spot on the list: Jordan Freaking Sharpe. Tonight's drink: Eggnog and Malibu Caribbean Run with Coconut. Malibu is a coconut flavored liqueur, made with Caribbean rum, and possessing an alcohol content by volume of 21.0 %. They were established in 1982 and originated in Barbados. If you haven't tried it before, please do. It goes great with coffee, chocolate milk and Eggnog. I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. Thank you for listening to Season 1 of Mac @ Night. As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section on our forums. See you next time for Season Deux. Cheers - Mac 🥃
Tonight on the 10th Episode of Mac @ Night: Does anything influence how we score in the EWC? I explain in detail what goes into scoring (and what doesn't) as well as breaking down the scorecard itself and what we (the scorers) look for in a roleplay. This is an important listen, as its crucial that the members and EWC Staff are on the same page, have the same understanding, and you hear it directly from the source. Tonight's drink: Luxardo Amaretto Di Saschira. I mix this Amaretto liqueur with my coffee and its molto buona. Established in 1821 by Girolamo Luxardo and still entirely controlled by the same Founding Family. Luxardo is one of the oldest European firms producing liqueurs and spirits. Transferred from Zara to Torreglia (Padova) in 1947 due to the consequences of the Second World War, Luxardo is a place where centuries old traditions meet cutting edge production methods. Its one of my favorite Amaretto liqueurs. I hope you enjoy tonight's episode. As always, feel free to sound off in the comments section on our forums Cheers - Mac 🥃
Tonight on the 9th Episode of Mac @ Night: The time has come for me to announce my Decision. This episode also features a very special guest. Tonight's drink: Rum & Coke featuring Bacardi Oakheart Smooth Spiced Rum.
