Charuni is currently pursuing a Master’s in Learning, Education and Technology at the University of Oulu, where she also serves as an AI Ambassador. With a background that combines a Bachelor of Education (specialized in IT), a Bachelor in IT, and a National Diploma in Teaching (ICT, English medium), she brings over five years of experience as a secondary-level ICT teacher and as a trainer helping educators integrate digital pedagogy and technology into their teaching. She has worked as a Research Assistant at INTERACT on critical data literacy and contributed to international educator engagement and EdTech validation projects through the WiKIT teacher network in Norway. Most recently, she interned with the City of Oulu’s Bothnian Arc Association, where she explored cross-border Sweden–Finland education initiatives, supported project planning and organization, and managed social media content. Her interests center on AI in education, digital resilience, ethical and responsible use of EdTech, and empowering both educators and students.
Jari Laru is a University Lecturer and researcher at the University of Oulu, Faculty of Education and Psychology. His work centers on learning sciences, digital pedagogy, and AI literacy in teacher education, and he was part of the team that established the STEAM minor subject in the faculty. He also works in the Generation AI project (STN), which has developed educational tools such as the GenAI Teachable Machine, Somekone, and the Breakable Machine to foster AI literacy in schools and teacher education.

Through play, they learn the skills they need for the future. At School of Gaming, he links the popular online games that children already love with offline plays. They get together online every week, and the plays continue off-screen. He is an entrepreneur at heart, not afraid to take risks, and he comes with an adventurer's mindset. Kris has worked in several startups as head of AI and AI consultant. She freelanced with brands to help them implement AI into their workflow. Kris has built a large community around generative AI on Twitter and has been a guest teacher at Columbia University, Austrian Academy of Sciences and CreativeMornings. Having worked in 11-18 education for over fourteen years, his passion for working with young people hasn't waned. That's why he has worked hard to integrate GSuite tools into his practice and now into his work with schools, colleges, not-for-profits and businesses. He is now leading a freelance consultancy agency that seeks to help educators with their use of digital tools and businesses with their staff development. His main areas of expertise are in education, technology and leadership. He has been passionate about digital marketing for many years and believes this is a central priority for both areas. He co-hosts the @Edufuturists podcast each week looking at education trends from around the world, as well as coordinating online and in-person events, and a range of content creation elements.
