This chapter has come to an end. Thank you for everyones support throughout this journey. Eazy Does It gave me a seat at the table to meet some incredible people, and learn things about myself I am forever grateful for. I hope there has been something in this journey that inspired you in some way. Someone’s story, someone’s craft, or perspective that challenged the way you see things. As one door closes, others will open, and it's the unknown that has fueled me from the beginning. I know my place is at the street level with my feet on the ground. If you see me around be sure to say hello, and if there is some way I can help please let me know. I'll be seeing you all out there. Much love.

Some of y'all in Austin may know Shea personally. We had the chance to meet up out here on the west coast, and drop in together. During our time in Austin we seemed to just miss each other, and this conversation was well worth the wait. It is refreshing to talk to someone as genuine and real as Shea. Shea is a man that puts his money where his mouth is, continues to ask himself hard questions, and change things up to ensure that he is on a path to his ever evolving potential. I am humbled and grateful to call you my friend. Hope y'all enjoy it!

Benji Weatherley joined us live at Aviator Nation in La Jolla to tell his story about all the places he has been in life so far. It's a trip! Benji was a pro surfer and featured in several generational films that defined surf culture in the 90's and early 2000's. Benji grew up as best friends with Jack Johnson, and even lived with Tom Delonge from Blink-182 right here in Pacific Beach, CA. However, there is much more depth to Benji than just the places he has been, and what he has achieved. In this podcast he talks about his childhood, lifelong friendships, hardships, and how choosing to say yes continues to push him in new directions. This conversation was a blast, and I hope you enjoy it! Much love!

Brice, Nathan, and I met in Ocean Beach, CA. They were busking at the local farmers market. We became fast friends as we swapped stories over a campfire on the beach, realizing their were a lot of commonalities, as well as differences in our lives. Both Brice and Nathan have been living the #vanlife for awhile, attracted to the lifestyle for different reasons. In this interview we talk about the realities of life on the road. No filter, just plainly spoken truths, and talk about the ups & downs you typically don't see amidst you social media feed. I love the playfulness they show up with, the dynamic of their friendship, and of course... the music. Be sure to follow Brice & Nathan on their travels as they head up to Washington this summer. See y'all down the road!

Patrick Hamilton introduced himself to me last week while I was sitting in my van, and having lunch parked out in La Jolla, CA. Today we sat down and recorded a beautiful conversation about some of the lessons we have learned along this journey. I am always inspired by hearing people express the challenges they face, but also what grace that the work they have put in has shown them in this world. This conversation is mostly about how we have chosen to show up, navigating warriorship. We are simply mirrors of one another, a generation between us, but no separation at all. Interacting as most should, listening, learning, and affirming. I hope you enjoy it. Much love.

Last night I sat down with founder of Connect San Diego, Robert Blume, and had a great conversation about his contributions to the art community here in San Diego. He has brought an innovative model to the forefront of the scene, giving young artists the opportunity to showcase their work, and stimulate the creative economy at the street level. Check out Robert's story, and if you're in San Diego go check out one of their two locations in OB & North Park. Thanks for tuning in. I hope y'all are having a kickass week!

As one chapter closes, often another opens, and it is daunting at times to take that step. Heidi Scheck is no stranger to doing the work necessary in order to develop more understanding of our potential here on earth. I am always grounded through our conversations, she has a way of reminding me that our experience here is happening for us, and not to us. We've have had a beautiful friendship develop as she moved to Austin, and I feel so lucky to be able to share this conversation with y'all. Heidi Scheck is a masterful coach, and artist refining her craft through her own trials, and always choosing to dive deeper. If you are interested in working with her in any capacity feel free to reach out through her information posted below.

Justin Krompier is a traveling landscape photographer. We originally crossed paths when he was passing through Austin, TX in his van. I immediately wanted to do a podcast with him after hearing the story featured in this episode. It was a familiar story of a man on his own path, a path with no specific destination in mind, a man inspired more by questions than answers. There are so many gems throughout, and I hope you truly enjoy hearing Justin's perspective. His path has been painful, and full of tests. However, the depth and resonance he caries with him will open the hearts and minds of many. Thank you for joining me Justin.

Tony Econom, Nick Boettcher, and Paige DeChausse (Soon to be Paige Boettcher) from The Reverent Few joined Jo & I to talk about what brought them to Austin to play music. I first met Nick and Paige at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on 6th street when I popped in for a show. They commanded attention on stage, and I stuck around after the show to introduce myself, and hear more about how they developed their sound. After getting to know them a bit better they opened up about the trials they have faced in their lives, and this episode is a glimpse inside the hearts, and minds of some true artists.
•
We discussed what we love about the music industry, but also some observations of things that need some attention. asking each other some tough questions of how best we can serve the community, support other artist, and ensure that the music industry here in Austin continues to flourish as it has done for decades. I really hope y'all enjoy the episode and be sure to go check out a show soon!

Saine Wong and I sat down to discuss his new venture, Toshokan, a brand new omakase sushi spot that is about to open its doors here at Native Hostel in Austin, TX. Saine & partner CK Chin are about to introduce the most unique and authentic sushi experience you will find in Austin, TX. Stepping inside reminds me of the time I spent living in Japan, and that type of experience is rare here in the US. Hearing Saine's passion for what he is bringing to the market is truly inspiring. Saine has such an attuned eye for detail, the finer intricacies of the connection that food creates, and I have no doubt this will translate into an evening spent at Toshokan.
•
Toshokan will only seat six people per dining experience. In this episode we discuss why Saine chose the number six, and how this creates an intimate dining experience for those in attendance. With two slots available per night people will be able to socialize, eat, and drink in a specially curated environment. Toshokan will construct an opportunity to get to know people they may not have interacted with before, opening doors to new friendships, and creating memories you will never forget. I can't think of anything that aligns with the attitude that is native to this city than that. I think there is something beautifully human in this approach. Saine is introducing his own unique way of service that removes boundaries between strangers, and will bring people together. We couldn't be happier to introduce this concept to you.
•
Saine has such passion for his craft, and the perfect personality to bring light to this deep-seated and thoughtful experience. I hope you hear this throughout this episode and Saine's story. This was such a fun interview for me, connecting on this level with Saine for the first time, but I am so happy to see how this story translates through the hearts & minds of our community. Thank you for joining me Saine, and thank y'all for taking the time to listen to Eazy Does It. Much love.

Ron Wayne joined me to discuss the release of his new single One in a Million. Ron is true artist, and I am excited to see how he continues to express himself. He is very attuned to how he maintains his energy, and it's always a privilege to catch up with him. It was too nice to be in the studio for this episode so we rolled a joint up, set up next to Barton Springs, and dropped in for episode 38!

Eli Menezes joined us today to talk about life as a musician here in Austin, TX. Eli just recently moved to Austin after playing in NYC for the last 20 years. Eli moved around the US after moving here from Brazil with his uncle at the age of 18. It's nice to hear that Eli felt welcomed here in Austin, and multiple musicians and organizations helped him get tapped in here in Austin.
•
Eli and Jo both have a lot of good advice in this episode for young artists starting out about the realities of life as a creative. How to sustain your efforts over time, and the mindset that will lead to success & fulfillment as an artists.

Jeremy Thiel & Michael Gregory (Aka Big Mike) joined me today from Crossfit Central. It was awesome to sit down and hear more about their story of how they came up here in Austin. Crossfit Central has become a central pillar of the fitness community here in Austin, and brought so much energy to the entire region.
•
Jeremy and Big Mike grew up playing sports together, and started coaching strength and conditioning camps throughout college at Texas State in San Marcos, TX. They found Crossfit early on in 2005, and started Crossfit Central in 2006. Jeremy and Big Mike both competed in the first Crossfit Games out in California in 2007.
•
We talked about coaching, personal growth, how our own personal philosophy has developed over the years, and how to make it sustainable. As entrepreneurs it’s imperative that we are aware of our energy, being the best version of ourselves each day, all in order to avoid burning out. Jeremy brought up how this awareness can help you as a leader and human-being.
•
Crossfit Central is hosting The Fittest Experience (TFX) out at Williamson County Expo Center this weekend. TFX started back in 2008, and has organically grown into the biggest fitness competition in the southern region. There will be over 800+ athletes competing, and an attendance of 2500+ people coming out to watch. If you want to check it out go snag your tickets at the following link:

The 1970’s here in Austin truly laid the foundation for the eclectic town that Austin is today. It is an era that I wish I'd been around for, but the least we can do is study what made this time period so pivotal. Today I sat down with photographer Scott Newton. Scott is the only still photographer shooting at Austin City Limits (PBS). Be sure to go check out his portfolio on his website posted below. You might recognize some of the faces he had the opportunity to capture.
•
It was an honor and a privilege to sit down with Scott, and refreshing to know that there are other true Austinites choosing to see the silver lining in our cities' growth. Not just reminisce on the good old days, or as Scott put it, “somebody’s good ol days are happening right now”. May we all do our best to keep the spirit of this great city alive, and remember that there is a reason that this place is so f*cking cool.

I sat down with country music singer Sam Riggs to talk about his career, and the path he has pursued over the years. Sam is so much more than just an artist, but is the full embodiment of someone living out their truth. We talked about his rise in the music industry, how he dealt with addiction while finding his way, and then spectacularly one defining moment that would change his life.
•
I’ll let you listen to the full episode, and not disclose this moment of clarity. My biggest takeaway from this episode as we discussed is to never stop committing to yourself fully. As Sam would say, “It doesn’t matter what others think”, keep staying true to who you are no matter how bad it gets.
•
I have found rock bottom multiple times in my life, and I’m not afraid of expressing those versions of myself. I think it is essential that we recognize that the good and the bad we carry inside is what makes us whole. If you are hiding, or not confronting certain aspects of yourself you will never discover your full potential.
•
Sam is all about adventure. He runs an adventure company called Air & Opportunity Adventure Co. where you can join him for adventures all over North America. At the end of the month he has decided to step away from the lights momentarily, moving to Alaska, the last frontier. Sam will be spending time with his wife and son, and getting the opportunity to take a job flying seaplanes. I am inspired by your story Sam, and I am sure that hearing this raw & authentic look at how your life has transgressed will touch the hearts of many. Be on the lookout as Sam has two new albums on the horizon. I look forward to seeing you succeed both on a professional, and personal level.

Jake is a local curator, art broker, and producer of experiences all over town. Jake caught my eye with his authentic passion for art and the impact it has here on our culture here in Austin, TX. Jake has his hands in a lot of different things, and I always enjoy catching up hearing what he is up to.
•
Jake made his way here by way of Arizona, and quickly fell in love with the art scene here while working a corporate job for 12+ years. Recently he has made the transition to working as a creative full-time, and the hustle this year has been real.
•
Jake & the team over at Cirque Noir produced some of their largest events to date. Some of which will be making the way back to Austin for the foreseeable future. Jake is also managing, and helping artists get their art to consumers in accessible and affordable ways. Go support his art collective, Fade Blue, and show these artists some love.

Garrain Jones joins me live from Eazy's Listening Room & Studio to drop all the way in on this podcast. Garrain is a best selling Author & coach originally from Houston, TX. After leaving high school to pursue a track career he found himself in... where? Kansas. Garrain had to get out and left fast, The farther he ran the harder Garrain found it to escape the patterns that kept beating him down. After moving to California, and pursuing his Hollywood dreams as a model with an aspiring music career Garrain would find his all time low while what was on the surface would look like the top. Garrain had signed a $500,000 deal with Ludacris at Def Jam Records, but shortly after found himself depressed, homeless living out of his car for 2.5 years, and now $250,000 is debt.
•
One day Garrain had enough, looked up at the sky, and yelled out, "Ok! I'm tired of fighting. I don't want to fight anymore. I want to be healthy. I want to be happy. I want to be surrounded by positive people. I just want to inspire people, and I want to make a bunch of money but the money to represent something that I passionately believe in that I would do for free".
•
This is when it all changed. After one day hearing a homeless man mutter the words, "change your mindset, change your life", Garrain decided it was time to change the way he looked at everything. He said in an interview, "I started taking a right when I usually would have made a left. I stopped taking lefts". 5-Years later Garrain would go from $250,000 in debt to being a multimillionaire. Garrain has spoken in over 70 Countries, written a bestselling book Change Your Mindset, Change Your Life, and is now launching a new project called Empowered Brotherhood with partners Stefanos Sifandos & Preston Smiles. Where they are leading men in new light and teaching them how to embody true masculinity.
•
Garrain is an absolute force. Humble & kind. Characteristics that are usually found the hard way. Thank you Garrain for stepping up, being a true warrior in the face of our biggest enemy... ourselves. His biggest faults would become Garrain's greatest strengths, and leads him down a road that will inspire many. For Garrain to continue to come out on top and ask more of himself to lift the veil & put himself out there 100% in order to serve others in a genuine manner is fine work. Thank you for showing up the way you do.
