Today’s show is part one of a two-part conversation about a growingly important topic within education: Equity. In order to help me learn more about that topic, I talked with Director of Special Education at Shoshone-Bannock School District in Pocatello, Idaho, and host of the Leading Equity podcast Dr. Sheldon L. Eakins. Dr. Eakins has been involved in K-12 Education his entire career at every level as a teacher, administrator, and now a director. Dr. Eakins is looking to spread to word about the necessity for more education about equity within schools through his podcast. Equity is his passion, and I am honored to have him on the show today.

On today’s and Thursday’s shows, we are taking a look back at some of the highlight episodes that we had on the podcast last year. It’s hard to believe that just last May we were releasing our first episode, and today we find ourselves releasing episode 78. In part 1 of the 2 part review, I take a look back at some of first, but more popular episodes from the podcast. Brian Burgyone, Citizen Stewart, Kristin Gallagher, Joel Krato and Kevin Haar, Colette Love Hilliard, and Kelly Gerstner, who graced episode #1, will be featured on this episode.

Today's show is a special one. It's our first annual Educator Escape Christmas Spectacular! I am joined by special guests and friends of the show Ryan Lacson, Kevin and Ashley Haar, Joel Krato, Jackie Souders, Rachael Tripp, and Jody Stallings.
We catch up in the style of the old radio shows of the 1930s and 40s. I also read an original teacher version of "Twas the night before Christmas", written by myself and Rachael Tripp!
I hope you enjoy the show and have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Educator Escape!
On today's show, I am joined by educational consultant and professor of education at Saint Cloud State John Eller. John has worked in virtually every job in certified education and brings that expertise to his job of helping teachers and school systems better their classrooms and school culture. John and his wife have written several books about this issue. John and I discuss these issues and more on this episode of Educator Escape.
