Segment 1: Wreaths Across America, not just a Christmas Wreath!.Hosted by the Civil Air Patrol, El Paso Composite Squadron, Wreaths Across America is back! A time honored tradition of purchasing wreaths that will be placed by loved ones or volunteers on headstones at Ft. Bliss Cemetery, and you can be a part of it..Amber Banda interviews Bonnie Torres, Location Coordinator for Wreaths Across American at Ft. Bliss. They discuss how it began, what this tradition means and who it is meant for, and you will get detailed information about event day. Become a part of the tradition of honoring our military and their families at the Ft. Bliss Cemetery!.10am will be opening Ceremonies, followed by placement of the wreaths.Trucks with wreaths, with a motorcycle escort, will arrive at Ft. Bliss cemetery around 7:30am. The NVOP helps veterans (and even non-veterans) who are facing risk of homelessness or food insecurity. Various organizations will be there to cater to the veteran community, including various departments from the VA and local businesses who are hiring. Creative Kids El Paso is a nationally recognized non-profit in El Paso that started when 2 young college students learned that art can help children with certain disabilities better communicate..Andrea and Stephen saw the need for this type of art "therapy" and have evolved it into projects for youth all over the city; from kids in juvie to kids who are at-risk or in low-income areas and would not otherwise be exposed to art and it's various forms.
