Use of EMG in robotic control. The project entails creating a mobile robot with a robotic arm and an adjustable camera rig. The robot will them be controlled using a combination of EEG and EMG. The arm and camera rig will be controlled using EMG, while the robot’s movements will be controlled using EEG. Both inputs will be collet and transmitted wirelessly to the robot. Laser particle counter for air quality analysis. Design and build a device that uses laser light scattering to count airborne particulate matter within a range of 2.5 and 10 micrometers, to give a count of harmful particles for a given volume of air. Buck Boost convertor in DCM. A buck boost convertor which initially boost the voltage from 18 volt to 60 volt and then to be down converted to 13.5 volt via a buck convertor. The aim is to run this power supply in discontinued conduction mode. Brain Signals Enhanced Haptic Game Interface Design. The project is to develop a novel game interface that human players could control the virtual characters using haptic joystick as well as using mind, through a process of real-time brain EEG signals collection and analysis to detect player’s intention. Automotive Low Cost Driver Sleep Detection. The idea is to provide a low cost driver sleep detection system that is capable of detecting if the driver of a vehicle has fallen asleep behind the wheel. House generation control system. With the introduction of the Government Feed In Tariff(FIT)it makes financial sense to utilise all of your renewable generation on site. If your generation is sold back to the Grid you get around 3p per KWH. If you use the KWH's on site you save around 13p per KWH(rough cost per KWH from energy supplier. GPS and GSM based vehicle Tracker/Anti-Theft Device. The system will allow the user to send an MSM to a vehicle which will then reply with the latitude and longitude co-ordinates of its position. These features will be achieved by using a microcontroller to manage a GPS and a GSM module as off the shelf components. Wireless Audio Transmission. My proposal is to design a wireless audio transmitter and receiver, the main goal of which is to replace conventional 3.5mm and 1/4" TRS connector cables. Essentially I hope to make a cheap but high-quality wireless replacement for guitar cables which can also be used to transmit music from a device to a speaker system (or headphones). Hydrogen Boiler energy system. Creating a small boiler that is heated using hyrdogen produced by electrolysis. The main part of the project would include producing and engineering the electrolysis, so it is efficient as possible. This hydrogen could then be filtered out of the system and into a boiler to heat water, this water could then be used as hot water in a home or to produce steam to turn a turbine on a larger scale. Wireless Winch Controller. that has the ability to operate multiple winches simultaneously on off road vehicles during competitions. As well as operating the winches the controller will display the voltage of the vehicle batteries and warn the operator that the batteries are being drained towards a level where damage could occur to the batteries and leave the vehicle in a position where it is not able to be re-started should the vehicle stall.
