Description

A sometimes retro, sometimes modern, lighthearted video game review show where one guy talks through his experience playing a game from any generation. I'm especially fond of adventure games and JRPGs.

Also- I like to discuss my entire experience, so spoiler warning for all games discussed!

Nate talks about his favorite parts of this SNES masterpiece. He also reveals his top 10 Adam Sandler films.
Nate reviews The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy for the Switch, a visual novel/strategy game hybrid. It's amazing. He also savors the sweet taste of root beer.Big spoilers begin at 40:40, so evacuate then if you haven't played it, but would like to.Notes:-Not sure why I say "um" so much in this recording. I didn't realize this until after the fact. Maybe because I recorded this from about 11 pm to 2 am, and my brain just wasn't thinking clearly. Sorry about that.- I later learned that this technically isn't Kodaka and Uchikoshi's first collaboration. They first collaborated on "World's End Club", one of Too Kyo's first games.- At one point, I misspoke and called this "real-time strategy". I meant to say "turn-based".- I also said Takumi's last name is "Nishojo"- it's actually "Sumino". I got the last names mixed up with the protagonist of Chaos;Head, which I was also playing at the time.
Nate reviews the survival horror legend Resident Evil 2 for the Playstation 1. It's an excellent sequel. He also discusses the sad loss of coupon dispensers in Cub Foods.
I talk about my favorite visual novel/adventure games on the Playstation 4, DS, and 3DS. I could've mentioned Dordogne, but I already talked about it in episode #4, so I didn't. I later learned that Steins;Gate Zero isn't a prequel, but rather an alternate timeline. Also, I should've said "new setting" instead of "new universe" with regards to Ace Attorney Adventures, because they're technically in the same universe. Games mentioned:- 428: Shibuya Scramble- Danganronpa series- Root Film- Steins;Gate- The Great Ace Attorney Adventures- Spirit Hunter NG- Corpse Party- Last Day of June- The Silver Case- Hotel Dusk & Last Window- Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series- Professor Layton series- The Starship Damrey- Time Hallow
