William Bell classic, twisted into dubwise shapes.
3o Minute cut-up. A loop made on DJay months ago from a Dusty Fingers compilation, some post-apocalyptic keyboard noises from an old soundtrack LP, put through loads of filters, cut-up and quadruple tracked until it's a bit Krautrock. Some far out euro-hippy spoken garbage. Some fragments of weird French B-music.
This is far from perfect but for years now I've loved a Chicano-Rock track called Fools Are You by Mother Night. It floats in on a twinkly cotton wool bed of keys then abruptly rocks up into a 70s latin-rock jam band eco-anthem. Like Crazy Horses via Santana. I wanted to divorce the pretty intro from it's origins and cut it up to try and float that nice mellow mood over a rickety beat. Here's the original: youtube.com/watch?v=hzfg0d322kU
Piles of fuzzy samples, bundled on top of each other. Stew for 20 minutes and serve.
Beatle-Soul Dub-Funk, filtered into infinity. For the fuzz tolerant. Hi-Fi Enthusiasts protect your speakers...
