Description

Are you tired of being tired?

Do you wish you would move your body without pain and stiffness?

Do you wish there were answers that actually worked and didn’t leave you feeling more confused and more of a failure than when you began?

Do you just want to LIKE who you are?

Hi, I’m Rene Thompson and I’m so excited that you’re here on the Embracing ‘The Change’ podcast.

I remember what it felt like to be uncomfortable in my own body, disgusted with myself that I was so emotionally fragile and confused by my body’s reactions to foods that I couldn’t understand. I was eating this for this symptom, supplements for that one, and nothing really worked to lift the depression, exhaustion and frustration.

I was anxious, bloated all the time and never really felt rested even after sleeping for 9 hours. I didn’t know the words to use to explain it to anyone who could help me and ended up convinced that I was just crazy.

To be honest I was acting like I was too. I was SO over it all!

But I discovered the secrets to being healthy in my 40’s and you know? It’s not as complicated as we are led to believe. I discovered how to thrive EVEN in these middle years using a simple blueprint that is available to everyone. After learning about these tools I kept studying and added onto the Registered Nurse’s certification that I already had -
- Holistic Health Coaching
- Life Coaching,
- Strategic Intervention,
- Aromatherapy and
- Self-Discovery systems of the 5 Love Languages, the Enneagram and the 6 Psychological Human Needs

And I am here to let you know there is HOPE for thriving as a busy, muddling-in-the-middle woman.

Inside this podcast you will find
- Self-Care and Relaxation Tools,
- What to eat and how to move to decrease excess body fat and increase muscle mass, and
- We will demystify and simplify the symptoms of perimenopause, speaking with experts who help women just like you to be the BEST version of you possible!

So grab that cup of coffee, tea or water and your notebook & pen and let’s get started!

Yes, you read that right—I lost 4.5kg on a cruise. And no, it wasn’t from food poisoning or sea sickness. In this episode, I’m sharing exactly how we navigated two weeks of all-you-can-eat buffets, limited food choices, and constant temptation... and still disembarked lighter, clearer, and calmer. We talk about how we planned our mealtimes, made the best possible choices with what was available, and why self-control was easier when we remembered how bad we felt when we didn’t use it. You’ll hear the truth about what happened when we gave in to the grains, sugar, and processed options—spoiler alert: the aches, bloating, constipation, and crankiness came right back. If you’ve ever felt like holidays have to mean falling off the wagon, this episode is your permission to rethink that.
