Hello Roast Potatoes!Welcome to Emer & Esther’s Sunday Roast Potatoes with Emer & Esther, a podcast about the joy of roast potatoes and carvery lunches. In this episode we went to Grainger’s at Hanlon’s Corner on NCR in Dublin where Esther somehow put away 96% of her plate despite having gone for brunch 16 minutes beforehand. Ahoy!We hopped into our gravy boats this week and sailed all the way to The Halfway House on the Navan Road in Dublin for another edition of Emer & Esther’s Sunday Roast Potatoes. We recorded this late Saturday night after Emer had driven all day across the country so we're a bit chaotic but normal service will resume next week. We talked the price of Strepsils, skilled tongsmiths and Esther's teenage experience as a lounge-girl.As always, if you have any great roast dinner/carvery lunch intelligence, recommendations, tips, news or general nonsense you want to send our way, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. Ciao tutti! This week on the pod, Esther went to Venice and came back with food poisoning, Emer went to the Poitin Stil in Kildare and had a lovely soup and we both came together to discuss yet another roast dinner all in the name of Emer & Esther’s Sunday Roast Potatoes. This week's Insta Sticker was all about condiments and let's just say, there are a lot of big feelings out there. Lumpy sauces, wet topping, gravy that a mouse could trot across - we covered it all. Oh and we also discussed the stunning roast we had at The Old Spot on Bath Avenue. It was a delight. If you have any great roast dinner/carvery lunch intelligence, recommendations, tips, news or general nonsense you want to send our way, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. It's that time of the week again when we twirl our carrot batons skyward and settle down to another episode of the unnecessarily long titled, Emer & Esther's Sunday Roast with Emer & Esther. This week we talked about vegan and veggie roast options, the flavourings mystery that is Aromat, buying things we don't need in Sostrene and Grene and of course, we investigate the carvery offering at The Templeogue Inn a.k.a The Morgue in Templeogue Village. If you have any great roast/carvery lunch intelligence, recommendations, tips, news or general nonsense you want to share, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. You didn't think we'd leave you hanging on Christmas Day did you?! We would never let you down on the most important day in the roast dinner calendar - no way.Maybe you're having a huge celebration surrounded by 6 million of your closest friends and family or maybe you're cosied up at home alone - regardless, we are here to keep you company. Emer's done a quiz which Esther fails miserably at and there's even a Christmas gift exchange. We're taking a break for January as Emer is finishing off the latest OMGWACA book with Sarah Breen but we'll be back before you can say 'can you flitter that cabbage with your tongs please?'. Thank you so much for listening and getting in touch this series. It has been a real delight making these episodes and we're so glad you're listening.Emer & EstherPart-time, semi-professional, roast detectives.P.S While we're away, please get in touch if you have any great roast/carvery lunch recommendations you'd like to share. Don't call it a comeback - call it season 2 of Ireland's only podcast dedicated to the art of carvery and roast lunches hosted by two women called Emer and Esther We took a little break to digest life (oh, and Emer wrote a book) but now we have returned, committed to travelling the island of Ireland and seek out brave new carvery confections. In this two part episode, we hit the road in Emer's Nissan Juke and head west to Corrib Oil in Castlebar, County Mayo where a listener assured us a great time would be had by all. In the forecourt of a petrol station, we tucked in to a take-away container of a carvery experience - a first for the pod. And to further celebrate our return, Emer even did a special Easter Quiz for the day that's in it. Enjoy and Ramadan Mubarak, Happy Easter and Happy Passover if you celebrate them but if you don't happy Sunday! We're so eggs-cited to be back.Peace and roast potatoes to you, Esther and Emer.P.S As always, if you have any great roast/carvery lunch recommendations you'd like to share with us, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. Well, kiss us on the lips and call us Joe Biden. This week we continued our journey into the West but this time, we were kicking it up a notch. We were thrilled and jammy enough to be - hashtag gifted - a stay at The Lodge at Ashford Castle in order to sample their incredible three course Sunday roast menu. And what can we say - it was a work of culinary art. But not only was the food and service top drawer - the grounds were stunning too. Imagine a dream Sunday where you trot around the gardens of Ashford Castle, take a little ferry trip on Lough Corrib and then top it all off with the incredible roast lunch at The Lodge. Did we sell out? Absa-frickin-lutely but we'd never lie to you - this was an incredible lunch and well worth the treat. Thanks for listening again this week Roast Potatoes and see you again next episode when normal carvery service will resume. Oh and if you want to pre-order Sophie White's new book (out 4th May) you can do so here.Yours in gravy boats,Emer and Esther.Follow Emer on Instagram here and Esther here.P.S As always, if you have any great roast/carvery lunch recommendations you'd like to share with us, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. Hello Roast Potatoes, Like two spring lambs, this week we gambled and pranced to the magical land of Palmerstown in Dublin 20, just off the N4. The focus of our carvery investigation for this episode was Palmerstown House on the Old Lucan Road and a good time was had by all. Chief Wally, Esther, forgot to turn the mics on for the first 15 minutes of the pod so this one is a bit shorter than usual but we'll be on our A game again next week. Thanks so much for listening! Oh, and if you enjoy the pod, why not buy us a coffee/tiny gravy boat here. It all helps keep Emer's Nissan Juke on the road, travelling Ireland in search of the best in carvery and roasts.See you next Sunday!Emer and Esther.Follow Emer on Instagram here and Esther here.P.S As always, if you have any great roast/carvery lunch recommendations you'd like to share with us, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. The Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon, the Kildare/Dublin border. All three are magical destinations for those in search of inspiration and reset. But at only one of these great places, can you order yourself a tip top carvery meal and enjoy more Michelle de Brun memorabilia per square inch than anywhere else on earth. Which is why we pointed Emer's Nissan Juke west and headed for the Poitin Stil, off the N7.What did we think of our carv experience?! TINY FOOTBALL BUS

In yet another exciting instalment of Ireland's premier carvery/roast podcast, we continue to discuss the most mundane and pointless of topics all in the name of gentle entertainment. This week: a new Aldi for Stoneybatter, Esther falls in love with a tiny bus and Emer talks about gondolas. It's got something for everyone/nothing for anyone. And of course, we also conducted an investigation into The 51 Dublin, Haddington Road, home of navy wearing men and multiple sports blaring, flatscreen TVs. Did we love or loathe our experience? Well my little roast potato, there is only one way to find out...3-2-1 LET'S ROAST!Thanks so much for listening and if you enjoy the pod, support us making it by tipping us a coffee/tiny gravy boat here. There was a time when Emer believed there were only 3 rich people in Ireland - Bono, Enya and whoever owns all the Big Tescos. She now knows that Ireland is awash with secretly loaded folk and they probably get their housekeepers to do their shopping in Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt which was also the site of this week's meal deal, carvery extravaganza. But the fun doesn't stop there. There's also mice talk, supermarket chat and Esther sitting in someone else's gravy. Now that's entertainment! As always, thanks so much for listening. If you enjoy the pod, why not pretend to be Bono and tip us a coffee/tiny gravy boat here. It all helps keep Emer's Nissan Juke on the road in search of the best in carvery and roasts on the island of Ireland.See you next Sunday!Emer and Esther.Follow Emer on Instagram, Esther here and the pod here.P.S As always, if you have any great roast/carvery lunch recommendations you'd like to share with us, email helloroastpotatoes@gmail.com. Roll up, roll up me hearties for here we are with another incredible, non-award winning episode of E&ESRWE&E.As we speak, Emer is recovering post Harry Styles at Slane and Esther is being virtuous and going for a run after her stint in the mini marathon last week. In this episode, we hit the road and adventured to Park Ri service station in Kells, County Meath. Inspired by comedian Michael Fry, we saw for ourselves what the Cook of Kells had to offer and we weren't disappointed. As always, thanks so much for listening.
