Hi my loves! I’m still on a short break, don’t worry I’m coming back, but while I’m working on an epic re-launch I wanted to repost one of my most raw episodes. This was a story I never told in full – not to my family, and not even to the friends who know parts of it. But in this episode, I decided it was time to put everything on the table (and believe me it wasn’t easy to do at the time)If you’ve been following Emotional Content from the beginning, you’ll know the mission here is to create a space where people feel safe to share their raw, unfiltered truths. For that to happen, I had to lead by example. So today, I’m diving back into a chapter of my life I once never thought I’d share – a time that shaped me deeply and left me with emotions I didn’t expect. I won’t give too much away, but I talk about how I ended up in sex work, why I kept it secret, and the moment I knew I had to stop. It’s real, it’s vulnerable, and it might surprise you as much as it surprised me.Big love and deep respect to all sex workers – this line of work isn’t easy, and I hope my story can shed light on both the risks and the realities that are rarely talked about. If you want to continue the conversation, head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrandFor immediate support, contact 1800 Respect at 1800 737 732.Additional resources are available at emotionalcontent.com.au Hosted on Acast. Hi my loves, I’m still on a short break but I couldn’t not bring this episode back to the surface. It’s one of the most honest things I’ve ever shared about my body image, the pressure to shrink, and what really goes on behind the filtered side of the industry.Yep… we’re going there today, queens. After years of lying about my size with Facetune and hiding behind story filters just to feel okay posting online, I became so dysmorphic that I truly started to hate myself. From starving myself to fit in, to binge eating through heartbreak, to witnessing full-blown eating disorders and almost going down that path myself, this is what it was actually like behind the curated posts you see online. In this episode, I’m sharing: • How I was told to lose weight at a size 6 • The disordered ways I would prep for photo shoots • The lies myself and so many influencers told using Facetune • My thoughts on fitspo creators with zero transparency • How gut health, trauma and stress were keeping my body stuck no matter what I didIf you’ve ever struggled with your body or felt the pressure to shrink to be accepted, I hope this episode reminds you that you’re not alone, and that your worth was never meant to be measured in numbers.🎧 Also recommended:My US Visa Horror Story on Apple & SpotifyIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. Hi my loves! While I’m on a short break, I’m replaying another one of the most honest episodes I’ve ever recorded — where I share my chaotic relationship with alcohol and binge drinking. It’s raw, messy, and full of the stories I used to laugh off, but deep down they were covering so much more. Alcohol was wrecking my confidence, fuelling my anxiety, and making my ADHD symptoms worse... I didn’t even realise how bad it had gotten. From cuddling a goon bag to drinking vodka straight from bed at 10am, this episode is filled with wild moments, regret, and the turning point that made me stop.If you’ve ever questioned your own drinking or used alcohol to escape, I hope this one makes you feel seen. You’ll hear:•Why I once woke up cuddling a goon bag•The time I was dragged by my hair and thrown down the stairs in a club•How I accidentally spent $$$$ at a strip club in a blackout•Why I was drinking vodka straight from my bed at 10am•How alcohol was making my ADHD and anxiety SO much worseIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand  Hosted on Acast. While I’m on a short break, I’m replaying one of the most vulnerable episodes I’ve ever recorded and where Emotional Content all started — by sharing my plastic surgery nightmare. Prior to this, it was a story I had never shared publicly before. When I went to get my first breast augmentation and rhinoplasty, I never could have imagined the nightmare that was about to unfold. I went to great lengths to hide this chapter of my life, carefully planning pre-recorded content and trips to keep it buried... Looking back it's wild!If you’re considering plastic surgery, I urge you to listen to this episode. Since releasing it, it’s helped so many of you make a more informed decision, and I hope by reposting it, it can reach even more of you.In this episode you’ll hear:• What drove me to get surgery in the first place• Every cosmetic procedure I’ve had• How much I’ve spent (including all the revisions)• The critical questions I didn’t ask and the mistakes I made• The red flags to watch for if you’re considering surgerySo, strap in queen, and let’s revisit this story together! <3If you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. This isn’t the kind of episode I ever imagined recording. But I needed to speak honestly and from the heart. After 39 episodes of showing up week after week, something had to shift. Today, I open up about where I’m at, what’s been happening behind the scenes, why I’ve had to make this difficult decision and sharing something I haven’t told anyone yet...If you’ve ever poured your full self into something you love to the point where it starts costing more than it gives, this one might resonate.Thank you for holding space for me. This podcast has never been just a show. It’s been a movement, a mirror, and my heart in audio form.In the meantime, I’ll be reposting some of my favourite past episodes. And if Emotional Content has ever meant something to you, now’s the perfect time to share it with someone who might need it.And my Perth babes - please keep an eye on my socials for something very exciting coming soon as well <3I’m forever grateful for this community and appreciate your support more than you know.I’ll see you soon, bigger, better, and more aligned.Lots of love, AJ xxIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. This week’s episode is for every woman who’s ever confused being desired with being valued.Inspired by a powerful listener submission, we’re diving deep into what it means to lead with your sexuality - not from empowerment, but from a place of low self-worth. I’ve been there too. For years, I believed my body was my best offering, that being sexy, and performative in bed would make me lovable. But it only left me feeling hollow. In this raw and honest chat, we explore:Why so many women fall into performative sexualityThe difference between being wanted and being seenHow toxic relationships skew our sense of self-worthThe ‘Cool Girl’ trap and how it keeps us smallAnd how to build a healthy, empowered relationship with sex againWhether you’ve ever felt like a human sex doll, struggled with feeling like sex is all you have to offer, or just want to feel more like yourself again - this one’s for you queen! So, let’s talk about it, all of it, judgment free as always! After years of back to back long term relo’s and a few too many bad choices I’ve gathered a solid list of red flags I’ve either ignored, learned from, or paid the price for lol.In this episode, I break down both the obvious and not so obvious red flags that show up in relationships. From unpacking the toxic love at first sight narrative to subtle emotional manipulation, from pedestal-placing to that sneaky “you’re too sensitive” line, nothing is off limits!Even the glaring red flags don’t feel so obvious when you’re in deep, especially during the intense honeymoon phase, when you feel loved, needed, or like you’ve finally found “your person.” That’s why I wanted to bring all of this into one place. To give you some perspective, share some raw stories, and help hopefully you catch things before they become heartbreak!Remember my loves this is a judgement-free zone and yes, I’ve made almost every mistake I talk about. But that’s the point - hopefully you can save yourselves and learn from my major f*ck ups :) No shame here queens, we all have to learn somehow right? If you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. Today we’re diving into a topic that myself and so many of you will relate to – age gaps, grooming, power dynamics, and the stories we were sold growing up…From driving in cars, getting drunk with older men as teens to understanding the full picture as an adult. I’m unpacking how these relationships really impact our self-worth, the way we excuse red flags, and why it’s so important we start talking about this without shame or judgment. This episode was inspired by a listener's story submission about her 19-year-old self and much older situationship, breaking down what’s romantic, what’s manipulative, and how to tell the difference. We’ll also touch on a double standard that’s often ignored: female predators and young male victims. Something I wish more people would talk about. If you’re younger and in a relationship with a big age gap or looking back at one from your past this episode might hit home…But I hope it brings clarity, validation, and a little more protection for the next generation of chicks!Listen to my Plastic Surgery Nightmare episode next on Apple or SpotifyIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. Weren’t the cool kid in school? Neither was I lol, but honestly, the coolest adults I’ve met never peaked in high school either so looking back… I’m glad I didn’t!If you’ve ever experienced bullying, you know how cruel and devastating it can be, and how deep those scars can run, even years later. In this week’s episode, I’m opening up about some of my most raw and vulnerable moments – stories I’ve never shared publicly and that even some of my closest friends don’t know. From the horrible things said to me growing up to the intense trolling I’ve faced online as an adult, I’m taking you through it all!I also break down the latest developments shaking up the online world: the legal action that’s unmasking anonymous trolls on the infamous website Tattle, and how influencer Indy Clinton hired a private investigator to expose 64 of her bullies.Could 2025 finally be the year online harassment gets held accountable? It’s true, I never saw myself living this long. I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. And if you’ve ever hit rock bottom, or feel like you’re there now, believe me I know that feeling deeply.Today’s episode is a heavy one. I’m taking you behind the scenes of what was really going on in my life before turning 30: why I hit rock bottom, my darkest thoughts, the fear of ageing, my mum's accident, substance abuse and how I rebuilt myself back together… slowly, brick by brick. This episode wasn’t easy to record. It’s raw. It’s brutally honest. But I’m hoping that by putting it out there, it helps someone who needs it.You might need some tissues for this one. Not a title I ever thought I’d be using on the pod… but here we are.Look, I get it we all love to tell stories about how we’ve been wronged. But have you ever noticed how influencers only seem to take accountability when they’re being cancelled?Well, I’m not under threat of cancellation (for now lol), so I figured… why not? Let’s get brutally honest about my own bad behaviour. In this episode, I open up about how I’ve shown up badly in past relationships, friendships, and even my career. I’m also sharing what I should’ve done differently in one of my more public friendships, the time I blamed literally everyone when I lost my vape, and some of the shady things influencers do that you may or may not have picked up on.Here’s to messy growth! Please don’t judge me after this one 😂 ILY xxIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. Safe space is back for another round of listener submissions!Today we’re unpacking your wildest stories & real life situations where I give you my best big sister advice.Today’s stories include a woman who tried to steal another wife’s entire life (and her husband), a serial cheater whose therapist blames it on their neurodivergence (this had me shook), a boyfriend who lied about having herpes, a married woman questioning her sexuality, and the age old debate: how long is too long to be waiting on a proposal? To put it simply, we’re diving balls deep into the bad behaviour of men… shock horror lol.So, snuggle up in your oversized hoodie or throw me in your ears on your morning walk because this week’s episode’s a rollercoaster! If you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. This week we’re getting very personal queens!I’m unpacking all of my thoughts, fears, and full-blown spirals around having kids. Well, one kid. In my late 30’s because I seriously doubt I’ll be having a second. And that’s if I can even have one of my own?! ahhhhh. From never wanting children, the history with past boyfriends, how losing my dad so young shaped everything, to the argument Frank and I had about kids when we first got together and now this damn biological clock I swear just started ticking out of nowhere!Maybe this will resonate with you or you’ll think I’m insane, either way I’m opening up about all of it lolThings I mentioned in the episode:Get 20% off the Natural Cycles app hereThe Hex condoms I swear byPodcast Amazon list: https://amzn.to/3HtLC1sListen to my plastic surgery nightmare episode here on spotify & appleListen to my body image episode here on spotify & appleIf you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. You asked… and I’m answering everything! In today’s episode, I’m giving you a life update & completely raw-dogging the questions you sent in because why not? From missed opportunities with celebs, the worst influencers I’ve ever met, the relationship I kept a secret, how much I was offered to go on an influencer Dubai trip, the biggest regret in my career, and so much more. These honestly had to be some of the best questions you’ve ever sent in, and I made sure to be as transparent as possible (without incriminating myself lol). So, grab your margarita or matcha and join me for another classic Emotional Content D&M!If you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. They told me I’d never make it… so I headlined anyway  :)In today’s episode, I’m starting the multi episode discussion on how I broke into one of the most male-dominated music scenes in the country. And believe me, it wasn’t easy lol. From being a heavily stereotyped bikini model in a DV relationship with a DJ, to getting laughed at by major artists, to driving my second-hand decks across the country in a hired car… This is the real story behind how I went from influencer to heavy bass DJ in Australia.I talk about being rejected by agencies because of my ex, covering up my body just to be taken seriously, and why the industry never wanted someone like me to succeed in the first place. If you’ve ever been told you’re not good enough, your idea would never work or felt like an outsider in a boys’ club, this one’s for you bby!! <3If you love Emotional Content and want to see more behind the scenes or connect head over to @_emotionalcontent or @amyjanebrand Hosted on Acast. Yep, you heard that right! This week, I finally got to deep dive into some of your wildest, most unhinged drunk stories – plus a few of my own, like that time I tried to ride a horse bareback, blind drunk… and flashed an entire house party. Iconic? Questionable? I think both. From sleeping with a cheating fiancé’s DILF of a dad for revenge, to taking down two grown men in a bar fight, this episode brings the chaos. Expect laughs, gasps, and plenty of secondhand embarrassment. But mostly? You’ll leave feeling way better about your own drunk mistakes. What started as a bizarre tagged comment on Twitter turned into one of the most disturbing situations I’ve ever faced online. In this episode, I’m talking about the time a man in the UK used my identity to catfish and emotionally manipulate young women. If you thought that was bad… it gets worse. Not only was he pretending to be me, he even went as far as to try and meet up with young girls. And one day, he did. This isn’t just a wild internet story, it’s a disturbing example of how easily women’s identities can be stolen, twisted, and weaponised on social media. PLUS, I’ve got an update I think you’ll find very interesting. From being hunted like prey by a man in a car on my morning walk, to being chased by someone with a needle… today, I’m sharing some of the closest, most terrifying moments I’ve experienced when it comes to personal safety. This episode is dedicated to women everywhere, with the rising rates of violence against women in Australia heavy on my heart. I’m sharing these stories not to scare, but to empower – with real life, potentially life saving safety tips, tools, and hard truths.I also want to take a moment to stand in solidarity with the brave women speaking out against the Paul family — with Atis Paul previously found guilty of serious charges, and now facing new allegations of abuse. I see you. I believe you. I stand with you.In this episode, you’ll hear:Some of the most terrifying moments I’ve experiencedWhy you should never follow the same route home… Even if you think you’re low-key onlineWhat to do if you’re ever being followedThe tools I carry and use to keep myself safeThe trick I use to make it look like someone’s waiting for me when I’m walking aloneThis one’s personal. Some disposables have an indicator light when you puff. It’s a small touch but I find it helpful in the dark. It lets me know the battery is still working too. If you don’t know where to find the best quality, I recommend paying attention to Pre-filled vape pens https://bigcloudvaporbar.ca/product-category/e-cigarettes/disposable-vape-kits-e-cigarettes/ . Little features like that show good design. Attention to detail always impresses me.
