Other than the Tom Hanks movie, Terminal can describe many different things, not least late-stage cancer with no cure. It also refers to final points in systems, like computer interfaces, power connections, airport gates, or a train station where one journey ends and another begins. Here, my father shares what it means to live in that terminal state. And to quote the movie that tops almost every man’s list, get busy living or get busy dying.
David shares the moment he first heard the unwelcome news, and the quiet but courageous choice to keep choosing life. This is a story of hard listening, trusting, and continuing the journey toward ending well. Script edited by Ali Hull.
In this first episode, David reflects on coming to terms with his journey through cancer and faith. Drawing wisdom from the story of Job and the moving conversation between Jesus and Little James in The Chosen, he explores what it means to live with unanswered prayers, enduring faith, and the quiet grace of walking with God through suffering. This is the beginning of a conversation about hope, struggle, and learning to end well.
