The Australians head to the new frontier of South Africa following their tour of England. Season 2 Episode 5 - 1902 in England Playing the Trumper Card (Part 2)

The Australians head to England attempting to win their fourth consecutive series against the old enemy. The atrocious weather conditions cause havoc for most, but not Victor Trumper, who will emerge from this tour having played some of the most astounding cricket the game had seen, whilst the final two tests of the series would go down in history as some of the finest ever played.   This is part 2 of 2 episodes covering the 1902 series. WG Grace is finally convinced to tour Australia again for the first time in 18 years. With the local game in a resurgence, Australia comes up against one of the strongest English sides ever assembled as they look to break a 10 year drought against the old enemy.

Billy Murdoch finally returns to a the Australian side after a 6 year absence, captaining the 7th touring side to travel to England. There, a future captain shows grit whilst a climactic finish to the second test has fans recalling the drama of 1882.

Turner and Ferris take their double act on the road, breaking wicket taking records on the 1888 tour of England. The reliance on their brilliance achieves great results at first, but cracks begin to show as the tour progresses.

With Australian cricket in the doldrums, the last thing they need is another tour from England. What they get is two competing tours that bring the finances of the game to the brink. Meanwhile, The Terror continues to wreak havoc on English batsmen.

Following the disputes with the previous touring side, the Melbourne Cricket Club takes charge of the 1886 tour. They put the tour in the hands of a young captain who has to bring together an experienced, but jaded side for another crack at the old enemy on their home turf.
