In just a few years, phone cameras have gone from "just alright" to being capable of taking some truly impressive pictures. Earlier today, I popped in a set of Apple AirPods, jumped onto an uptown 6 train, and began a short journey to our New York office. That would be a pretty apt description of any of my daily commutes to work, but today was different: Because I was using the new AirPods Pro, I didn't have to dial up the volume dangerously high to hear my music over the din. Apple's new, $249 wireless earbuds hit stores tomorrow, and they're a big improvement over the models we've already gotten used to. The Hero 8 isn’t foolproof, but it’s heading in that direction. The clever new design and the new UI make this the friendliest GoPro yet for newbies and experienced users alike. At the end of the day, I can’t help but feel that iPadOS 13 is a more significant update than iOS 13 — not only does it include more stuff, it also suggests we’ll start to see the feature gap between iPhones and iPads grow wider before long. The Switch Lite is for everyone who found the original Switch too big. Really, that's it. By going with a smaller screen and fixed controllers, Nintendo has crafted something that feels more like a genuine portable console. The Switch Lite is significantly lighter and more comfortable to hold, it can finally fit into your pocket and, at $200, it's $100 less than the Switch. The major downside: There's no more support for TV output. The Switch Lite is purely focused on portability, but I don't think many gamers will mind. Apple Arcade won't officially arrive until this Thursday, but some folks are reporting on Twitter they already have access to it. As confirmed by Engadget, people who are using the iOS 13 beta on iPhone are seeing Arcade pop up on a tab in the App Store. They can invite family members and start playing some of the more than 100 games Apple plans to have in its library.
