Everyone liked her confidence, but there was still an elephant in the room: nobody wanted to mention that the deadline was much earlier than we expected. We all glanced at each other, waiting for someone brave enough to bring it up. Finally, my colleague sighed and said it out loud, and once he did, we felt relieved. After that, we started making a new plan together, and the conversation became much easier.

The weather was nice, the food was tasty, and nobody argued again. We all walked home feeling happy and relaxed.

The first three months—the period they call the first trimester, were a bit tough for me. I was feeling extremely nauseous and had no appetite. I wasn’t throwing up, but I was incredibly nauseous, and food smelled awful to me. During that time, I lost weight and could only eat bread and cheese. Sometimes, even water smelled terrible to me, my husband always teases me about that, but for a while, it was really true.Thankfully, the second trimester went smoothly. My appetite came back, the nausea stopped, and I went on with my life as if I weren’t even pregnant. I was able to keep up with my workouts, walks, and classes without skipping a beat.Honestly, I didn’t struggle much during the third trimester either. Of course, as my bump grew, my movements became more limited and I would get tired more easily. But still, I was grateful.The birth happened a little earlier than we expected. My son was born on the evening of March 25th, while we were actually expecting him around mid-April. In fact, I wasn’t expecting it at all, I even had a class scheduled for that evening! Thankfully, I was able to hold my baby in my arms in good health.Now I’ll be on maternity leave for a while. I’ve paused my classes and plan to return gradually, as soon as possible. I hope things will go that way.
