Enigma: Sightings

This episode focuses on an important Canadian sighting from 1967 in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. To talk to us about the case and other significant Canadian UAP topics is Canadian UAP expert Chris Rutkowski. Chris is a science writer and UFO researcher. He has authored several books on UFOs and taught courses on the subject.

On April 25, 2013, an unidentified object was detected by the crew members of a surveillance U.S. Customs and Border Patrol aircraft and by personnel in the Rafael Hernandez airport control tower. The UAP was tracked and recorded by the aircraft using an infrared camera system. It had no apparent means of propulsion and appeared to go into and out of the ocean, splitting into two objects before disappearing below its surface. After contacting the U.S. Air Force, who said the object was not theirs, they went to local UAP researchers for help examining the video. The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) reviewed the footage and produced a research paper with their findings. The SCU could not determine what the object was and found several anomalous aspects.
