Not our most polished episode, but we're shaking off the rust! We don't let perfection stand in the way of getting things done! This second season is bringing so much more to the table!
We should charge for this episode! Justin Dalenberg is the owner of 4 Breweries, 2 Fast food chains, a bakery, and a Market! He launched his career in a world class deli, then transitioned in to consulting. He worked his way to the top, not knowing that he would have to face his most crushing blow to date with the pandemic. Listen in on how he bounced back and what he's planning next! This episode is exactly what the title says, not perfect but great. There's some lagging and some disconnects, but we made it happen, and you can too.
This is one of our favorite episodes of all time. Our guest, Jonathan Kelly, brought the knowledge. Salty's Lobster Company is one of hottest, if not THE hottest food trucks in the Richmond, VA area. Jonathan went from living in a rescue shelter to starting a food delivery company. After being completely strong armed by Uber Eat and Doordash, he was forced to shut down. When covid hit, he created a lobster roll kit and was selling 1,000 lobster rolls a day! If you are a struggling or have hesitated to open your own truck, this will be the push you need to make things happen!
This episode is worth it's weight in Saffron. It touches on a record breaking week as well as a handful of other things that broke. True to the nature, our podcast comes to an abrupt end from the internet being disconnected, but we're going to put it out there anyway!
Journey with us as we reflect on our past experiences and react knowing what we know now. As you think about your own experiences, remember that the things you now might consider mundane, are being celebrating as milestones by someone else. This episode is pretty casual but there's some things you're not going to want to miss!
This episode discusses a variety of topics, like fire and safety regulations to the benefits of franchising. We aren't focused on just one topic, but there's one thing no one can deny. The Food Trucks Are Coming!
Maximize your revenue with systems. Whether you're part time, full time, if you only have 1 unit or multiple, there's nothing more important than having the right processes in place. We discuss POS systems, inventory and more! "Sometimes we make the process more complicated than we need to. We will never make a journey of a thousand miles by fretting about how long it will take or how hard it will be. We make the journey by taking each day step by step and then repeating it again and again until we reach our destination." -Joseph B. Wirthlin
Proof that a strong mental capacity allows you to make the most of bad situations. Joe has experienced tremendous setbacks and utilized them to learn and grow. He went from a million dollar business to the verge of losing everything. From the ruins he created one the fastest growing food truck brands in the state!
Brandon Haught is a self-proclaimed expert at failing forward. He has started various businesses, including a food truck and a mobile food marketplace, Foodeaze. In 2015, he purchased a BBQ trailer that quickly grew into multiple carts, which he sold in 2017. Brandon's latest venture is a fast-casual hibachi concept, which has grown from a tent to three units!
