Meeting with Michael Grandsoult, also known as Toronto Indie Rapper Mikeall, was tremendously special (not only because this was my very FIRST Beacon diversity interview for the WHO ARE WE? series, go easy on me fam) but because he is part of the Black-Canadian Community and is an "edu-tainer". Which means he is an intellectual individual who has a career as an educator and as an independent rap artist. Born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, he is proud of his Black roots, where he comes from, things he has seen, making a difference in people's lives with positivity and love, bringing a meaningful message to his lyrics and songs, and represents Toronto to the absolute fullest. "Each one, reach one, teach one."
Meeting with Daniela Chirinos-Aguilar was very special as she was the very first person on our show from the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Born and raised in Venezuela and now a full-fledged Canadian, she is a very passionate and loving person of life. Please take a glimpse into her world, her experiences and aspirations.
