Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. In this episode we talk a little bit about the aftermath of what has happened after George Floyd's death (After G.F). It indeed is a strange time, protests are continuing in just about every major city in the United States and other countries around the world. There have been more events where black people have lost their lives with a hangings "suicides" in California (Robert Fuller & Malcolm Harsch) and a recent police shooting in Atlanta, GA (Rayshard Brooks). We will continue dialogue about this issue because this is a human rights issue. You have to be aware and act on what is right.
