This podcast we share some thoughts on our hearts about being mothers in a time when everyone is telling us the right way to do it. How do we find happiness in the journey we are on and let go of expectations that the world puts on us to conform to one "right way" to mother. Some say Motherhood is natural but maybe what we really need to understand is it is not that simple., We cant compare ourselves to past generations because we are parents of a new generation with different trials and struggles.
Join us and discover how we learn that there is no one way to Mother and there is joy to be had in our individual journeys. We just need to come together and support each other in this crazy world growing kids.
We are back together! We have so much to share about the journeys we have been on this last year, and we are excited to get this Podcast back up. We will be sharing new content regularly again and cannot wait to interview YOU! We want to share the stories of everyday women who want to help other women by sharing your experiences. This week we discuss proven methods of making sustainable goals. How to change our mindset to create goals centered in joy, service, and growth for ourselves and the people we love.
Its never to late to make goals that can propel us into the lives we want to live.
We are starting the year with a healthy mindset. Join us as we discuss how to get in the correct mindset for growth through love and acceptance vs hate and resentment. We explore what acceptance can look like, how to start your growth journey by first finding and accepting where and who you are, and how to change our perspective on goals. When we set our goals from a place of love we set ourselves up to grow our love for ourselves and find limitless growth potential in our lives.
Why do we snap when our kids display big emotions? What can we change to parent the way we want instead of the way we were taught? How can I stop my child's emotions from triggering mine?

This week we discuss the emotional and mental labor that is carried by women. The to do lists, schedules, grocery lists, bedtime, emotional support and the millions of other ways we help the house to function and run smooth. There is a reason that men struggle to naturally take the load from us and it isn't because they don't want to or don't care.
With a few changes in communication the emotional and mental labor can be shared with your spouse.
We are so glad we are back! We took a much needed hiatus while we went through major life changes. Now that things are slightly more settled we are back to doing what we love and cannot wait to bring you more content.

Happy Mothers day! Today we wanted to talk about what really defines motherhood. It's not the housekeeping, the amount of time spent at home, the quality of food we cook, or the hundreds of other to dos and expectations we give ourselves. Its not even about having a baby. Motherhood is the divine relationship we have with other people. It's our potential and ability to touch others lives and change the world through love and caring for others.
The last year has been unique and challenging for all of us. It has caused a lot of changes and need or new routines. We discuss the changes we have had and how being open to a reset is so beneficial to our mental health.
We are back after spring break and we want to talk about how nobody, including us, knows what they are doing.
It easy to get down on yourself because someone else has it all figured out. It easy to never start something because its something you have never done. The trick is realizing that at one point that person who is doing so well had no clue either!
Also, being humble enough to say, "I don't have all the answers" opens us up to having deeper conversations with people who have different views and opinions than us. We discuss changing the way we talk to others and finding space for all thoughts, feelings, and opinions, including our own.
In this week's episode we talk all about body positivity. We talk about our personal struggles with body positivity and the shaming surrounded around bodies. Body positivity refers to the assertion that all people deserve to have a positive body image, regardless of how society and popular culture view ideal shape, size, and appearance. We are beyond excited to talk to Dr. Julie Hanks @drjuliehanks about gender roles and patriarchy. We need to change up how we look at responsibly in and outside the home and let go of the idea of "women's work and men's work". We also talk about how to change this dynamic for our children and help them embrace whatever role they choose for themselves.
