Our lives can be crazy, but you can take a break from it all with Wondery’s new series, Even the Rich, where co-hosts Brooke Siffrinn and Aricia Skidmore-Williams pull back the curtain and chat about someone else’s craziness for a change. They tell stories about some of the greatest family dynasties in history, from the Murdochs to the Royals to the Carters (Jay-Z and Beyoncé, that is). Because as Queen Elizabeth once said, “A good gossip is a wonderful tonic.”

I absolutely love 'Even the Rich'! The storytelling is captivating, and the way they delve into the lives of some of the most fascinating figures in history is both entertaining and insightful. The hosts have a great rapport and make the rich history come alive with their engaging narrative style. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/evolution-of-custom-packaging--60836191
I just wanted to drop a quick note to say how much I’m enjoying ‘Even the Rich’! The way you delve into the lives of iconic figures with such depth and nuance is truly impressive. I love the combination of engaging storytelling and insightful analysis—it's like getting a backstage pass to history. https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/packaging-perfection-5799676/episodes/evolution-of-custom-packaging-218485801
they got a little bit victim-blamey in this episode. "Jen doesn't seem like the kind of person who would stick around if Brad behaved abusively" - a lot of very strong women end up in abusive relationships. this is super well documented. they also said that they think he was only abusive to Angelina, essentially because "she drove him crazy". fyi that's a common argument made by abusers. even if someone makes you super angry, it's never an excuse to be abusive. it's not her fault.
Angelina is not a victim. She's been a hot mess most of her life and no wilted flower. Her bad and cruel choices are a reflection of her lack of empathy. She's tried to ruin Pitt with her revenge lawsuits and actions, yet she's not winning awards for portraying herself as a victim. I'm not buying it, yet sadly, this podcast is. No bueno
I can't with this episode 🙄
Solid episode but you are missing one important fact known to every Long Beacher—Snoop and Cameron Diaz were classmates and he was her weed supplier. #worldscollide
I'm confused, what's wrong with "staged photos "? Dad doesn't seem to have done anything wrong, just living his life. Now the sister? that's another story.
bold move to cover someone that may or may not have killed her husband..
I'm just gonna throw it out there that MuchMusic isn't a show. It was the Canadian equivalent to MTV.
This podcast got so much wrong. That's what happens when you rely on outsiders acting as if they know what's going on.
Thank you for presenting the story with context that helped me see it as more than a punchline.
beautiful story!
Lucille Ball always had roses sent to Carol Burnett on her birthday. The day that Lucille Ball passed away, Carol Burnett's doorbell rang, with the Florist delivering the roses. Lucille Ball passed on Carol Burnett's birthday.
Lisa Marie and Pink did a song together. pink sang backup on one of Lisa's songs. I have all 3 of ber CD's and her song writing skills are amazing. RIP Lisa the king is now reunited with his princess.
It's such bullshit to fire someone for failing a drug test if their performance is not adversely affected... Shouldn't actual work performance count more than a piss stick? What people do outside of work is none of their employer's business... as long as it doesn't affect their work.
Wow, that’s really rude. They’re a nice family and that is a good show. Also, there are kids involved. Grow up.
'Rocky Top' was one of the 1st songs we learned in elementary school. I know that KFC on Chapman Hwy.
please stop saying 'Eastern Tennessee'. we refer to it as 'East Tennessee'. But all and all, I love your podcast. Even the Rich has gotten me through many hours of work. Y'all are the best. I've learned so much through your show.
I grew up in Knoxville. Cas Walker was a huge name in those parts. Listening to you describe Henley St Bridge and WIVK makes me homesick. Thank you for making your podcast. Dolly really is my fairy godmother. 'The way I see it, if you want a rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain.' Dolly Parton
I don't know if you girls read the reviews but I will pitch in an idea for future episodes.this might not be your ideal topic , but as a family and personality I think Carol Shelby was quite interesting.the way he became famous was very much with modifying cars but the human side is also quite interesting. maybe you can look into it
your show is pretty interesting and it's nice that it's very different people so there is a lot of variety. good work girls
so we're just going to skip over the part where she fraudulently used the credit card of one of her clients to the tune of $120,000? 🤔😂
so glad she wants to have more kids. tremendous idea.
Preskit is the proper pronunciation of Prescott, AZ.
Love Elton John, however the fake British accents are terrible. I have listened to many of the Even the Rich series and generally think they are great. The fake accents tho… pretty bad.
So happy to hear you doing episodes on my favorite singer and musician. I have been a fan for almost 50 years. To me he's the best. Thank you.
🤓🤪🥹😍🥰
I got a hummingbird for a friend and her offspring Hummingbird are cool great show love every episode
"like Pam in a Chili's" 🤣🤣🤣
I love this podcast. Equal parts informative, humorous and compassionate.
Just fyi, they don't really explain the term larrikin correctly, its used as a term of endearment to describe boisterous men who quite often behave badly who also have a disregard for convention, they're somewhat of a maverick. Shane warne was described as a larrikin, he was always getting into trouble, but hey! wink wink, the guys a much loved Aussie larrikin! Its not usually used to describe anything but men either. If anyone has a different opinion I'd love to hear it. Its also not a term used very frequently anymore.
Oh, ladies - masters of nuance, subtlety & objectivity you are not. Maybe Patty was brainwashed, maybe she wasn't; maybe she was doing whatever necessary to survive, maybe she bought into the SLA dogma. But your credulous acceptance of the "Patty as victim" narrative is sophomoric. We're adults. We can handle a more balanced telling of the tale.
This is really good, you make me feel as if I know her.
The problem is that Yeet is a narcissistic megalomaniac badly in need of psych meds. He should do the world a favor and just kill himself already.
Congratulations on this milestone! I love your show(s), I love your banter, and I love your energy. I share most of your 'Rich and Daily' episodes with my sister, as your relationship with one another reminds me of my relationship with her. Thanks for the giggles. ❤️
Absolutely loving this podcast, but Diana was definitely not a commoner. She was Lady Di before she was a princess, her life was very different to Meghan's.
WHYYYY is she doing that stupid Donatello accent?? I couldn't listen anymore. Just. No.
My question is... Why is it that 2 women doing a podcast always have at least 1 that continuously laughs like a drunken Hyena. Please just tell the damn story.
enveloping.......
Cunt of an accent please stop he’s Aussie not Fkn English
Murdoch is an Aussie not English so why does she put on a English accent it’s soooo BAD
I love Jessica Simpson so much! I really didn't realize how much stuff she was going through with her marriage to Nick and all it just goes to show you we are all battling our own different things in life and many times ppl hide their inner turmoils so well!
I love hearing this story on Jessica Simpson! I am a huge fan of her singing days and still to this day though she hasn't been singing anymore but still been doing things behind the scenes with her brands.
Wether in public or in private school, children wear uniforms in Italy.
did they really not mention A League of Their Own? at all? or did I miss it?
spoiler! the fact that the paps were waiting to take pictures of Jackie when she was leaving the hospital after she lost a child is absolutely disgusting beyond belief.
She was trafficked to the wilderness schools, it’s sad.
just a comment about the show portraying that Gianni had met his killer prior to the shooting: I thought it was very ambiguous and I remember in the show not being sure if it actually happened or if he imagined it.. which I think is a fair way to portray a rumor that may or may not be true
wait.. in the back story of old man JP, the woman that sues for paternity gives birth 10 months after the lawsuit was filed..? that math does not add up at all...... she wouldn't know she was pregnant right away so she's claiming she was pregnant for like 11 months? a year? not how babies work...
One of the best podcasts out thanks girls
what a bittersweet ending
im from korea and i love this podcast. this podcast is the most interesting to listen and good to learn english thx for these girls again 😋💗
This series was very good but the hostess throw out that their funny and I didn’t giggle once......
poor Britney. I wanted to be her as a kid
I really love you two. You're so funny!
Love love love the show. but the hero worship of jk Rowling requires a little bit of walk back. sorry....
this is one of my favorite podcast you girls are killing it
sounds like an amazing wedding
Larrikin means troll. To be a larrikin is to troll. He would've meant daring in a specifically cheeky way.
wow poor Diana.
"I thought it would be hard, but this isn't fair..." what a spoiled narcissist. Sad Harry was blinded by her. she'll only happy when she's destroyed him and her family.
I didn't like this diversion from the story.
what a sad life! I am glad that there was some sort of happy ending.
Love your show. It's part of my "me" time each week. I am in the minority here when I say that Melania Trump was very classy and I can't see how Pelosi and Hilary Clinton are styled better.
Australia is not a big country? Oof. And the accents are brutal. So distracting.
Why would you release a series talking about how obsessed Meghan was with Princess Diana, and then do this episode where you leave her apparent ignorance of the royal family out of the discussion? No critical or unbiased thinking here. It's thanks to this podcast I knew Meghan was exaggerating in her interview at that point. You had shed light on her awareness of the royal family.
The amount of money spent on this wedding was obscene!
Meghan wanted to be more popular than Diana but when she realised it wasn't going to happen, she started complaining about the bad press, the negative comments about her etc. She wanted everyone to feel sympathy for her. Yeah right, she's rich, she's attractive, she married a prince .... woe is me! No one suffered more than Diana and no royal member will ever be as popular. Their marriage will end the same as Charles and Diana's - in divorce!
I can't believe that your not going to address their lies. They made some demands and when the queen said no they left. It's not just older people that don't believe them. They're are plenty of us "American's" that aren't buying their b.s. After this terribly biased episode it's going to be hard to take anything else you produce seriously.
I agree with Cathy although I’m not gonna stop listening because of one bad episode. This episode was extremely biased towards Meghan and Harry, I don’t think your expert is any expert whatsoever
I'm just gonna say it....Jackie sounds like a HORRIBLE mother like let the man do what he wants
I've always been curious about Jackie's life before her name was synonymous with the Kennedy's. Thanks ladies!
another fun one!
Loved this episode! So pleased to learn little known info on #JackieO. Great storytelling, and Jackie O's quotes were priceless. Definitely a woman before her time.
Great episode! Love the presentation of the show. It always ends with me feeling like a nice hour spent tidbit fact sharing & gossiping with best of girlfriends!! Well done ladies and staff!
great episode lol that ending!
this podcast is so fun
this episode is so heartbreaking. I remember watching this all unfold and having an argument with my brother who insisted on calling her a "crazy slut" and me telling him she was being taken advantage of. he never could say what exactly made her 'crazy' or a 'slut.' it was just what the press was feeding us. I want him to watch the doc and listen to this now.
Lemonade is the GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME
for what its worth, Jay DELIVERED with OTRII, great performance from both
i think this episode sort of missed the racial element behind the taylor swift thing. Single Ladies is definitely a better video than the other one (i literally don't even know the name), she definitely should have won that reward and it makes you wonder why she didn't, there is a whole history of black women not getting recognized.... Kanye is still a jackass tho lol
I love bey ❤❤❤
how the fuck do you mix up Gordon Ramsey with Guy Fieri?!?!
every compelling!
ummm if the hospital is good there is no way in hell they'd tell the press if the father of Meghan freaking Markle has been admitted that's not proof at all that his MI didn't happen
Love this podcast but ads from Jillian Michaels?!?! give me a break
Edward the VIII abdicated the throne to marry Wallis Simpson, so Harry not the first to quit the royal family
The robbery ...and then let's talk about lip kits? Did I miss something? Seems that a segment is missing in-between.
too many penises, fuck
hey guys, love the show. I understand you were trying to be careful in not misgendering Caitlin Jenner - but in the time period you're referring to, she was Bruce. There's nothing inappropriate or shameful about who she once was, and I don't think she has an issue with people talking about her past the way it actually was. It's confusing because in the context of this episode, Kris was dating Bruce, not Caitlin.
I wrote to Paris when she was in prison and she sent back a super cute autographed picture. I think she responded or sent something to everyone.
Glad I found this pod.
why are they talking so fast???
Disappointed to hear the beachbody ads, they're so unethical 😢
FYI: in 1971 there were no 'silicon chips' yet. It was silicon wafer manufacturers.
Absolutely love the show!! Hilarious!
Y'all are mad hilarious.😁
Isn't Paris a twin?
Cute episode & season! I am so surprised to find out all this behind the scene info on Paris. Great job crew!
great ipod
its PINKY Tuscadero. Take it from this Happy Day fan from way back when.
Liked the game. Now I will be listening to season two with this fun in mind!
can't understand anything this man is saying??
d dd w x d. d. d. w
zddd.
Brooke and Aricia are awesome. I really like the whole Even the rich stories. They are quite good at telling the stories and are often quite funny. I have listened to the entire podcast so far and I keep coming back for more. They are even good at reading the commercials.
Encores already? I'm so excited for new episodes. I love your show!
wow when she asked whats Star Search?! I feel old af now.
I enjoy the podcast for the most part but Aricia (?) is so annoying. a second person for no reason. keeps interrupting with nothing to add and annoying singing.
Rich People Problems!
This is such a fun and fascinating podcast ❤️
C'mon! Diana was aristocratic - far from "commoner"!
😩 this whole thing is just sad. makes me think similar to Michael Jackson who also basically grew up in the spotlight too and odd behavior. personally, i believe Jamie spears is only in his own best $$$financial interest at his daughter's exploitation. 😡
The Getty case is so intense and hard to stomach that I had to rush forward and look up the details so nothing would be a surprise 😂 I love your work and how you present cases. I especially love that the banter between hosts, which is super common now, is not navel gazey and does not take away from the cases! Also, your humour is tasteful and smart, and I feel you withhold judgement on people who have been flatly (and uninterestingly) villainized in popular media and plenty of other podcasts.
I love podcast! Versace, Free Britany, beyonce... all great. my Italian husband got a chuckle from the Italian accents
No mention of Shar Jackson...
This is a good podcast. Very entertaining.
You guys are fabulous. This is my favorite podcast now.
I had no clue that Brittany grew up in a violent home. No wonder the poor girl has mental health issue. Witnessing those sort of volatile acts can negatively impact the developing brain of a child which continues to grow and develop until late teens/early 20s. Such a tragic story. Bless your heart Brittany!
I'm here for this!!!
Wrong! All in the Family had a lot of flushes in the 70s. It was a running gag. For instance, when Gloria wasn't coming down the stairs for her own wedding. Edith stopped playing the piano and yelled up for Gloria. She said, "I'm waiting for daddy!" FLUSH. The best, Ever!
please stop with the Italian accent. your normal speaking voice is very nice and you are so articulate and enjoyable to hear but the accent really takes away from the story. As soon as I really start getting lost in it that accent just ruins the whole experience.
Ted Kennedy, Lion of the Senate. *sigh*
These girls can be very rude and disrespectful regarding people who ha e died, they often crack jokes at super inappropriate times. I wonder what family members of the deceased would think when they make these flippant comme ts about their family members.
I love that you told the backstory on Versace. Nobody does that. Thank you. Also, damn (!) your sarcasm and humor is so damn cutting I need stitches. You two are fabulous! I'm addicted to your podcast!
love this podcast! you ladies are amazing!!!
How am I now speaking with an Italian accent after listening to "House of Versace"? 😂 Everyone thinks I have finally lost my marbles. 😂😂 Never mind that I'm loving this podcast all the way in Nairobi, Kenya.
What happens when you're kidnapped and your grandpa, who happens to be one of the richest men in the world, refuses to pay the ransom? I dunno-- but I'm looking forward to finding out in this limited series
I love this podcast, I binged it way too fast. Please keep making more!!! Love both of you ladies 😘😘💜💜⭐⭐
good
Your coverage of the Gettys is fantastic by the way!
Do the Maxwells!
I am not the type that write comments but ... you girls are great! I don't care about the rich and famous but listening to your dynamic on the show is refreshing and fun!
So well done, smart, funny and entertaining. Just love this podcast. 👍
o my my mjki hi jiy my hi un hi my my my but nt be n husba hi j I nndComed yn themy kju my r no np uni hi nyun n but I ju bjst ylb
Love your podcast
This was a breezy listen to binge. Learned so much about the royals. Beware - the accent impressions are terrible!
As an Australian, please no more Australian accents, it's terrible 😂😂 . P.s love the podcast
the giggly girl format is too irritating for me
same here. wont play or download
Can't play it
won't download for me
As an Australian, I can state with 99% certainty that a Jackaroo does not ride around on kangaroos! A Jackaroo or a Jillaroo is a male or female who is novice in the art of a working on a cattle station or sheep station, but gaining experience. They ride horses or motorised machinery. Kangaroos are not to be messed with - the box good 😊
I loved this podcast and binged it all in one day. A very entertaining and neutral point of view on The Firm. Highly recommend for Royal watchers but perhaps not the die hards ☺️
oh I am loving this one so far. I know nothing about the Murdochs, so I am excited! You ladies are fabulous!
Thanks for your good podcasts , it was amazing, only the last episode (6) was boring , especially second part.
I'm loving this podcast!!
**VERDY GOOOD Paudcast** (my besst brittishh akccentt, you have to listen to get it 🤷♀️) Never really cared either way when it came to megxit but they helped explain it. But LOVED the insight on the People's Princess...Diana. Who didn't cry when she passed?? It still breaks my heart. If your into this type of thing DEFINITELY worth the binge.
this is great
Meghans" sister seems to be a greedy bitch.
I'm not a Kardashian stan, very curious to hear about these rich fams!!
