Several decades after the battle between the legendary Strong Thighs and the Avatar of Orcus, the Everrealm is in the midst of a renaissance. Denizens of the Underdark now live amongst the surface folk, and the cultural exchange has broadened the horizons of all. But this day we find ourselves in Sundvelt, a advanced and growing metropolis. In the amazing entertainment district, we zoom in on the largest house of pleasure in Sundvelt, The Cerulean Dream. And this is where the story of Abbaddon, Morgan, Xygen, and Synai begins. We join our heroes, Mythcyra the tiefling monk, Farlies the rogue/warlock, Nimbus the druid/artificier, and Tera the earth genasi ranger. Orindale was just beset by the Monks Of The Winter Sun(Myth's order) led by Vayd Dreamscar, a formerly ambitious student who had assassinated the abbot and taken control of the monastery. Brunwick, the tavern keeper's son and an athletic prodigy, had been abducted and the town set ablaze. After saving who they could and helping to extinguish the fires, our party continues on their quest to destroy "the key", an ancient artifact that they have acquired. During their travels they encounter a way too friendly goblin named Vig, a lady in red named Chenora(fighter/warlock), and her canine cohort, BoBo. The very animated Vig leads them to Kurn, a small "farming" settlement. After retrieving some otyugh tentacles for a local mage, Mythcyra and Farlies were returning to their base of operations, the small village of Orindale. On the way they saw a group of goblinoids, with a prisoner in tow, up ahead of them. Utilizing Farlies psychic powers, Myth's fists, and both of their abilities to create darkness, they defeated the bugbear and goblins, slaughtering most and sending the few survivors scurrying away. The dwarven prisoner was saved. The party spoke with the dwarf, who was named Malvol, and he told them that during a rescue attempt his group was defeated by these goblins and some type of "barbed humanoid monster". He also told them that his captured associates were being used to create a fearsome golem. During the conversation, Nimbus, a friend of Malvol who had been surreptitiously tracking him, emerged from his hiding spot and approached the group. After a brief introduction the entire group returned to Orindale to receive the reward for the Otyugh tentacles from Punt. While meeting with Punt, Myth allowed him to inspect a key that they had acquired during previous adventures. He said that it was divine in nature and was beyond analysis by his arcane abilities, and that they should take it to the temple and ask Brother Quiven. The group then set off to rescue Malvol's companions, travelling back north into the mountains. The party defeated several groups of goblins, and then stood above the entrance of the inverted tower, looking down into the opening, hearing what sounds like a snoring goblin below. The party entered into the inverted tower, sustaining some damage while battling goblins as well as triggering a trap as they descended into the inverted tower. At the lowest level they entered what appeared to be a necrotic laboratory and encountered Zilcurtaz the barbed devil. They eventually defeated him, but not before he released the Hellforged dwarf golem he had constructed from corpses, some of which had been Malvol's associates. It was a ROUGH battle with this golem, the group almost met their demise, but finally Mythcyra landed the killing blow and the golem was defeated. The party recuperated after this vicious battle in the lowest level of the inverted tower. After searching the inverted tower and grabbing some items(particularly a certain sentient dagger), the party left the tower, planning on heading back to Orindale. They were met by a group of militia members on horseback, and had a discussion with Brother Quiven. After he explained what the key actually was( a key to an extradimensional prison that held an ancient dracolich) and how to destroy it, they all rode back to Orindale to prepare for your mission and to rest. They received some supplies from the temple, went and checked in with the now healing (and drinking) Malvol and then retired to their cottage to rest. While eating delicious rice and stew provided by the temple cook, Myth shared some information regarding the new malevolent leadership of her order, the monks of the winter sun. After splitting up their findings, the crew shut it down for the night, finally taking a well deserved long rest. After some hours of sleep, the always perceptive Myth awakened, hearing distant screams and even worse, smelling smoke. She roused Nimbus and Farlies, and they all went outside to check things out. They were met with chaos. They saw flames on the roofs of multiple buildings and heard the sounds of a heated battle. The Strong Thighs have travelled thru time, battled giant mechs and bigots in a distant future, watched their not-too-distant future selves get obliterated, faced and defeated Geldar the lich, had a dream where they were pawns in a game played by gods and squared off against each other, and fought a giant minotaur skeleton and undead imps. And what do they get as a reward? They get to test their mettle against the Grisgol, a magical construct whose body is made up of an assortment of partially used magical items. Good times. Despite the massive MEGA raid on "The Pit" (the Quiet Palm's headquarters), The Strong Thighs managed to defend themselves and Boss Cal long enough to charge up his time machine and travel 218 years into the past. Arriving just in time to see Geldar INCINERATE the older, more experienced version of themselves in this timeline, The Quadriceps Magnificent. Then Geldar revealed his true form, talking that good archvillain trash in all his glorious undead lichiness. Things are looking pretty bad for the crew.
