the sound effects are a little much especially when you hear a woman being hurt and they are talking about the victim being rapped and beaten.
I haven't listened to this yet but, this is my home town. I went to church with one of the victims. So tragic.

I really like the narrator and story selection for this podcast but I'm bothered by the unnecessary sound effects. Describing sexual assault does not need the sound of a woman crying and moaning in pain. Describing child sexual abuse does not need that either .. ..... it doesn't enhance the experience, it just disturbs the listener and disengages them. I found myself wondering why you would include that and how it could possibly be honoring victims. There's a fine line in true crime where the truth trumps the spectacle of the story. The truth should always be front and center. this is not the first episode where background additions of noise/sound has been inappropriate. Yet this isn't happening in the sister podcast Scary Mysteries! Please consider leaving the sound effects that portray human emotion out. We don't need a crying track everytime you describe a crime against a woman anymore than we need a laugh track after every joke on other podcasts
