The whole world is swimming in a soup of broken identity, distorted love, and a desperate search for approval from all the wrong places. But the affirmation we’re longing for can ultimately only be found in God.In today’s episode of Everyday Exorcist, Grant and Kat unpack the powerful role of a father’s blessing in healing and deliverance. Before Jesus ever performed a miracle or launched into public ministry, the Father spoke these words over Him: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Jesus was blessed, loved, and affirmed by His Father before He did anything to earn it. For many people, those are the very words they never heard growing up. As believers, and especially as people ministering in healing, deliverance, and restoration, we have the opportunity to stand in the gap and speak the truth of God’s heart over others: You are a son. You are a daughter. You are loved. You are wanted. You are seen. Your Father delights in you. The blessing can be a powerful tool in the deliverance ministry toolbelt because it doesn’t simply speak life, it can help unhook the lies people believe about God and themselves because of wounds from their earthly parents. In this episode, Grant and Kat explore how speaking words of blessing and truth can open the door to deep healing, restore identity, and help people break free from lifelong patterns of feeling unworthy, unwanted, rejected, or unloved. Sometimes freedom isn’t only about casting something out. Sometimes it’s about finally receiving what was missing, and hearing the truth of who you are as a beloved son or daughter of God.
Do you find yourself retelling the same story of how you were wronged and wishing you could finally get justice, or even revenge? Do you see someone who hurt you in the grocery store and immediately turn the other way to avoid them? Do you carry around a laundry list of offenses, replaying what happened and imagining what you would say or do differently next time? The connection between forgiveness and walking in complete freedom is staggering. As part of our Top Six Demons series, Grant and Kat tackle one of the most common roots they encounter in prayer and deliverance ministry: unforgiveness. They break down the biblical foundation for forgiveness, why Jesus takes it so seriously, and how unresolved offense can keep us bound long after the original wound occurred. They unpack the signs that unforgiveness may still have a hold in your life - from rehearsing old offenses and avoiding certain people to bitterness, resentment, fantasies of revenge, and the constant need to see someone “pay” for what they did.But forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t hurt. It doesn’t mean what happened was okay, and it doesn’t necessarily mean reconciliation or restored trust. Forgiveness is releasing the debt and surrendering your right to revenge into the hands of Jesus. In this episode, we talk about what forgiveness is and what it isn’t, why it is so essential to spiritual freedom, and practical steps you can take to forgive even when your emotions haven’t caught up yet.If you’ve ever thought, “I know I’m supposed to forgive them, but I don’t know how,” this episode is for you.

It assumes that pain, failure, or hardship are forms of divine punishment - or that we can somehow earn blessing and favor through our own effort. At its core, this lie partners with a demonic doctrine often referred to as karma. In this episode of Everyday Exorcist, Grant and Kat kick off a new series on the core lies believers often agree with - lies that can open doors to demonic attachment and oppression. They unpack the power of agreement, reminding us that whatever we agree with, we empower. God’s goodness is far greater than we realize, and freedom begins when we change the way we think, repent of false beliefs, and break agreement with the lies that keep us bound. This heartfelt conversation invites listeners to honestly ask: Am I partnering with the lie that I’m getting what I deserve? and to step into the full freedom and identity we have as sons and daughters of God.Originally released October 27, 2025Visit EverydayExorcist.com to share your questions and stories
