I wish that Paul could be my elder right now. I cried and cried thinking how much love I would have felt if he were the one I was repenting to. How I wouldn’t have been so alone when my brother died and when I was homeless and trying to leave an abusive relationship. How I knew that this was not Gods people because the only way I survived all this was because of the “worldly” friends I gained out of it. I would have killed myself or been killed if not for my real friends I found when I was kicked out. I wish I could find a community of ex jws like you to talk to. I feel like I have so much pain still. So much to let go. I feel this message will never get read and that does make me sad, but writing it brings just a tidbit of relief. … just in case…
