Many decry the bloodiness of earthly religions, but for Christians, the blood is a vital element to our theology. The importance of the blood as an element in the Levitical Offering system is explained further, focusing on Christ’s fulfillment of the Old Testament types. This episode focuses on the blood of Christ being precious and poured out for sinners.
The significance of the blood, both in the sacrificial system of Leviticus, and its fulfillment in Christ, speaks deeply to the believer in matters of redemption, and life. This important element of the offering system is analyzed in depth in a way that will bless the believer in his or her understanding. (Part one)
In part two of our study of the burnt offering as foundational information for the rest of the book, as given in Leviticus 1, we will look at the purposes and practice of the offering.
