With 12% of the UK's Engineering population being female, we still have a long way to go to get the gender diversity within this industry. This is my first ever podcast episode and I’m excited to be joined by the amazing Fiona Okonkwo. Fiona and I studied our Masters in Chemical Engineering together and ended up being lab partners for our dissertation. After graduating, Fiona went on to exploring different roles and has had a successful career in Engineering and not mention, achieved Chartership status. She is passionate about women empowerment and mentorship. On this podcast, we explore topics such as working in a male dominated environment, building confidence, female leadership and creating allies in the workplace. Hope you enjoy :)
