Joyce Ziske Malison looks back on the final years of a relatively short professional career with her highlight being her victory in the 1960 Women's Western Open, then an LPGA major championship, at the Donald Ross-designed Beverly CC on the south side of Chicago, in a playoff with Barbara Romack. Joyce's largest paycheck didn't come until long after she had retired, winning the 52+ division of the inaugural Marilyn Smith Founders Classic and pocketing $10,500. She married in 1961 and transitioned from golf to the family bowling alley business. Winner of the 1960 Women's Western Open, Joyce Ziske Malison takes us back to her youth growing up on a farm on the south side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, living across the street from a driving range. Joyce remembers outdriving Patty Berg when she played an exhibition with her at age 14. She recalls her junior and amateur career that included participating in the 1954 Curtis Cup at Merion GC. Joyce turned professional in 1955, traveling on the road that first year with Jackie Pung in an old Ford. She recounts her first win at the 1956 Syracuse Open over Louise Suggs collecting the first place prize of $1,500 less a 10% kickback to fund the LPGA Tour operating costs. Three-time major championship winner, Nick Price, begins by taking us back to the early frustrations and heartbreaks at the majors including the challenges of Augusta and tough Open Championship losses to Seve at Lytham in 1988 and earlier having one hand on the Claret Jug in 1982 at Troon when Tom Watson prevailed. A 2003 inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame and the winner of three major championships and one Players Championship, Nick Price joins us to talk about growing up in Rhodesia (present-day Zimbabwe), learning the game as a left-hander and his early successes as an amateur. Nick recounts his time spent in the Rhodesian Air Force during the "Bush War" there and the honor of representing his country in the 1976 Eisenhower Trophy. He relates the decision process to turn professional in 1977 and discusses those early days on the South African and European Tours. Finally, he fondly recalls his special relationship with his long-time caddie, Jeff "Squeeky" Medlin and growing up with his swing coach, David Leadbetter. Two-time major championship winner JoAnne Carner reflects on the later years of her illustrious career including her 35th Tour win at the 1882 Chevrolet World Championship of Golf that qualified her for the LPGA Hall of Fame. JoAnne was a repeat winner at 13 different events over her career even after waiting until age 30 to turn professional. In 2004 she became the oldest player to make an LPGA cut at age 65. She remembers several other majors that could have been and wished the USGA had inaugurated the Senior Women's U.S. Open before they finally did in 2018 as she was on a quest to tie Bobby Jones' and Tiger Woods' record of nine USGA championships. JoAnne enjoyed captaining the 1994 Solheim Cup at the Greenbrier and appreciates the many accolades bestowed upon her over the years including the 1981 USGA Bob Jones Award and her induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1982. World Golf Hall of Fame member JoAnne Carner looks back on her early years on Tour including several of her 43 LPGA titles including the 1969 Burdine's Invitational that she won as an amateur. Professional success came quickly in her first year on Tour in 1970 and then validation came with a wire-to-wire win at the 1971 Women's U.S. Open at Kahkwa Club over the great Kathy Whitworth where JoAnne became the first player to win three different USGA championships. Fourteen wins later she cashes in at the 1976 U.S. Women's Open at Rolling Green CC and prevails for her eighth USGA title, second only to Bobby Jones and later Tiger Woods with nine. Winner of 8 USGA Championships throughout her brilliant career, JoAnne Carner begins her story growing up in the Northwest and learning the game while working at the little 9-hole public course in town.  Offered an honorary membership at Sand Point C.C., JoAnne took full advantage of the club's generosity and support by traveling the states competing in junior and amateur events, ultimately winning one USGA Girls Junior and five Women's Amateur titles. She  won the equivalent of the NCAA individual title while at Arizona State, competed on four Curtis Cup teams and actually won an LPGA event while still an amateur. Curtis Strange, World Golf Hall of Fame member, recounts his amateur experiences winning the 1974 Western Amateur over good friend  and Wake Forest teammate, Jay Haas, and playing on the winning side in the 1975 Walker Cup at the Old Course. Curtis reflects back on turning pro at age 21 just short of graduation and going out on the road on the PGA Tour with a bit of debt to keep the pressure on. He fondly recalls his many good friends, the locker room environment that he misses most and breaking through for his first win at the 1979 Pensacola Open.
