This Episode: Ed calls BS on Disney's CYA ("cover your a**") tactics and gives his take on the Bible, Liana reveals what was Bonnie Tyler really singing about in "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (not what we thought!), plus - what are political centrists and why does everybody hate them, why laziness leads to stupid beliefs, and what is "Bros before Jehos"?
Liana Kerzner talks about why women hear things differently than men. And maybe, will hear this podcast differently too.
They’re Shaping Your Brain! But it’s not as terrifying as it sounds! Liana talks with Branding expert Matt Johnson, author of Blindsight: The (Mostly) Hidden Ways Marketing Reshapes Our Brains, about how your brain’s mental shorthand guides you to make decisions you aren’t aware you’re making – and how companies use this to influence our thinking.

This Episode - It's like the classic movie 'Escape from New York' but the urban hellscape is downtown Toronto and instead of escaping, we headed into it! Ed and Liana describe the nightmare of getting into T.O. during rush hour on the torturous DVP, finding parking, dealing with service people who aren't into providing service and getting the bum's rush. Plus - Netflix's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" (is amazing)!
Within today’s political battles and social media landscape, it seems that lying is on the rise. And not even good lies, but obvious ones! Liana delves into the different motivations for lying (they’re not all bad), how to confront possible liars and how to handle it when you’ve been caught lying! Also – Jedis!

The strange aspect of the judicial ruling on Trudeau's use of the Emergencies Act; Poilievre is leading in the polls? Not where it matters; Israel - Hamas War - the inherent problem of Pro-Israel and Pro-Palestine factions, how Canadian Jews are using the war to determine their Canadian electoral choices and how a desperate Netanyahu fell into the trap of Hamas and lost the moral high ground after the October 7 massacre.

On this episode with Ed the Sock & Liana Kerzner: OnlyFans models make their own beer but...it's kinda gross. Why movies about female or ethnic characters by female or ethnic directors tend to suck (except Barbie). MyPillow takes a dirt nap. And the end of a fruit-tastic era of candy!
Is there hypocrisy among the anti-Israel crowd? Okay, that was rhetorical. Ed and Liana also talk about superhero fatigue, whiny Christopher Nolan and former 90210 and Sharknado star Ian Ziering being swarmed by a gang of mini-bikers. Fun for the whole family!
How many times have you been told that you're ungrateful? Has it ever made you suddenly feel grateful? Compelled gratefulness is only likely to make someone resentful, not appreciative. Liana talks about the value of sincere appreciation vs forced capitulation.

Who can combine Kang, Jonathan Majors, Aquaman, Don Cherry and Matlock, with a pinch of why Zack Snyder's movies suck, and turn it into a podcast? Ed the Sock & Liana Kerzner, in this final episode for 2023!
Over the holidays we're encouraged to be grateful for what we have, and sometimes, that's not a request, it's a demand. While feeling sincerely grateful is good for mental health, no one ever feels gratitude by force. Liana goes through where the lines are, and why gratitude can become resentment when it's not freely given.
If you're looking for another raucous, belligerent argument about the Israel/Hamas War - look elsewhere. Steven Kerzner and Stephen Lautens look at the current conflict from an unpopular position - a rational one. Frank truths are spoken about why the savage Hamas attack on October 7 has shattered Jewish people's sense of safety, why unsupported charges of war crimes against Israel matter, 'Holocaust fatigue', internal conflict among world Jewry, the real motivations of those calling for a ceasefire and ultimately, why Hamas is winning this war.
What is the 'rescuer trap' and why do so many men fall prey to it? Pretty sure you know the answer to the first part, find out about the second part to escape the cycle!

Steven Joel Kerzner, you, your, wife, your friends, everyone on this podcast network and everyone that thinks like you all are pathetic wastes of human life.

You both (and everyone that thinks like you) are fucking pathetic. And you people talk about building bridges HA! The culture, hatred, division will NEVER end and people like yourselves are part in cause of it. There will NEVER be compromise, there are only winners and losers. And hope either people like you lose or all your beliefs/ideologies backfire on you horribly because it's what you fucking deserve. I wish nothing, but suffering on you all.

I have no respect for leftist ideology. I believe it's too easily hijacked and you "moderates" can't control the the farther left. Ironically enough, something I've actually seen the right too better. And for the past 4 years you've cared more about Trump and the right that you've ignored how much ground the far left has been taking in politics and especially culture. Sure you may touch on their nonsense in culture from time to time, but it clearly was never a majority priority, more like a hobby. And not after 4 years of that plus the momentum/encouragement the far left has received (once again, apparently the riots just never happened), it's created a monster that you can't fight and the average person isn't willing to fight or too scared. So I look forward to seeing your reactions when you finally realize this too late. P.S. Neither side was going to accept the election results, but only the left was going to riot if they lost. And I'm suppose to think you're the righteous side look

I hope everyone's ready for the great reset. Especially leftists on this network. If you're in support of this, well then too bad, here it comes baby.

[To whoever runs this network and gets notifications of comments, are they actually been shown to the people who's podcasts I comment on or am I just talking to the wind?] This podcast is (apparently) suppose to be about "critical thinking," but just consists of two people which the exact same opinions agreeing on EVERYTHING, ironic. If you two ever decide one day to have a guest on with an opposing viewpoint, I'd love to hear a discussion with Matt Christiansen. I highly doubt that'll ever happen because it goes against two people with the exact same opinions agreeing on everything they talk about. Or maybe out of a subconscious fear that you might have your minds changed or your view on something might be wrong.

I forget to mention this as well: I find it so funny that you two are complaining about Trump and Republicans being hypocrites with filling RBG's seat (and I agree they are being hypocrites), which Trump has the legal power to do, but fail to point out how so are the Democrats. Both sides are being hypocrites on this fight. Both change their opinions whenever they're the ones in power. I'm aware you two of leftists bias, but the fact that you came at this point as if the Republicans were the only ones being hypocrites should be a wake up call to just how partisan you two actually are.

Trump isn't insane. You can say Trump isn't the brightest, but you call him insane or even evil is insane in of itself. Are we just gonna ignore the absurdity of Russiagate because leftists and Democrats couldn't handle the fact that they lost an election, a lot of which still believe Trump colluded with Russia to rig the election lol. The REAL reason Trump has a very good chance at being re-elected is the same reason he won in 2016. There were multiple reasons Trump won in 2016 (a lot of which are repeating themselves), but the MAIN reason was fear and anger of leftist authoritarianism (that's only gotten much worse since then). People with take a Trump over cancel culture, political/ideological lecturing, riots, business being looted/destroyed/burned, homes vandalized, intimidation, being harassing and attacked for not choosing a side or choosing the "wrong side" etc. Trump is a direct reaction to the leftist's behavior. And while that's the ONLY thing you two got right regarding th

Once again, you strawman my Breaking Bad comment. My issue was not you not liking Walter White or even Breaking Bad, that's just you having bad taste, I'm fine with people having bad taste. My issue was with the two of you somehow not understanding the appeal of shows like Breaking Bad and using those shows as a psychology profile for the people that like it, claiming it's because of nihilism. Because apparently people don't consume media for entertainment anymore in your minds? It's shows your holier-than-thou, fake intellectual, condescending, elitist mentality.

I have a hard time taking anything you two have to say regarding the U.S. election/politics seriously when one of you hasn't acknowledged (or condemned) the 100+ days of riots, looting, violence etc. committed by leftists activists and the other seems to be in favor of it. Or even how it all effects the average person politically. No instead every episode I listen to is just an hour or two of "Orange man and Republicans bad." I'm not voting come November, but I hope Trumps wins just out of spite of leftists and people like you two.

The confusion and theories you two have about why people like shows like Breaking Bad is beyond ridiculous. You can't wrap their heads around simply liking a show because of the writing, acting, cinematography? When a piece of media suddenly become a physiological/moral profile of the person that enjoys it? Liking the writing of Breaking Bad and Walter White now means I'm just a bad person that enjoys seeing someone worse than me? Breaking Bad's (and Better Call Saul's) writing is objectively one of the best. With only 5 seasons and 62 episodes it cemented itself as one of the best/most icon shows of all time. As well has cementing it's lead character of Walter "Heisenberg" White as a pop culture icon and gold standard in character development/writing. P.S. I never claimed you didn't like Better Call Saul, here's what I said: "Breaking Bad's (and Better Call Saul's) writing is objectively one of the best EVER." NOTHING in that statement is me saying you don't like Better Call Saul, I d
