As the UK leaves the European Community this song is appropriate > Destination Unknown
Hi Guys - well I'm still here soaking in the U.K. bath listening each week to the podcast. I've learnt stuff, I've agreed with stuff and I have disagreed with stuff. The downward slipway absorbed ELO output for many years, which was so sad considering the early classics. The 80s killed it as the original roots are just thrown out as bee bop plastic contract obligations take priority. Indeed Bluebird is Dead. Great podcast though and looking forward to a few more baths ! As
Looking forward to the upcoming episodes as I try to catch up on the previous ones.
Now given the extensive knowledge of aeroplanes from this track, Pink Floyd and MMEB with the early April Fools I really think you should have mentioned "Nightingales and Bombers" by MMEB as being an influence on the Move and Jeff. I was surprised that there was no cross reference to BlackBerry Way or I Can Hear the Grass Grow and the influence of Roy Wood on ELO. Accepting no internet download at the time today's accessibility must enable the credit. Still in the UK bath listening "Shangri-la"
Another UK bath. It was a great April Fool that I have relived every day since as various family members have taken the piss out of me. You got me. Great pod cast. Really enjoying it. Keep it going.
.The opening of Tightrope - was that the single version as it missed out a chunk of great stuff before the vocals kicked in. Why not use the album version and extend my bath soaking by a few more minutes? What a great opening to a great album
I have now listened each Saturday to the Face the Music tracks and comments. The pod casts boom out through the cube speaker on the window ledge. What a great album that takes ELO into better things. Eldorado set the standard and in One Summer Dream and Waterfall the benchmark is raised. Thank God for last Saturday's 1hr plus pod cast as the 'track casts' are just not long enough for my full bath (lol). Brilliant cast. I'm amazed the UK hasn't got other ELO podcasts, so well done the USA. Keep going - Ian [Coventry England]
never had this as a protest song. One of the best
I always listen to the Podcast (which is brilliant; and you're right the only one on ELO) in the bath. So I'm in the West Midlands (near Birmingham) the ELO heartland and just love the breakdown of the tracks. My baths can usually take about 15 minutes but your end of album reviews mean my water goes cold! Well worth it. One suggestion- can you publish your Facebook page on the Podcast page itself. I listen through Castbox. Keep it going - Eldorado is just brilliant and I can't get it out of my head, but I am so looking forward to the weeks to come in 2019.
Just love Eldorado. My first ELO album that got me into the band. Never looked back.
that megamix was great. Where can I get it from ? Fan of ELO since Eldorado. Time is the worst album it diverges from true ELO So much
