Janet Currie *88, Henry Putnam Professor of Economics and Public Affairs, Woodrow Wilson School, and the Director for the Center for Health and Wellbeing, discusses the causes and consequences of health in early life. By examining the impact of birth weight upon test scores and future earnings through various studies and peripheral research, Professor Currie presents the strong connection between health at birth and future economic and educational circumstances. During Professor in Demographic Studies, Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs, and Director of the Program in Latino Studies, discusses the importance of U.S. diversification trends.
