what was your outro music in this episode?
Okay, as someone who loves 'Boxing Helena,' I have to recommend Girls, Guts, & Giallo's episode on it. They do the smartest analysis of that film I've ever heard.
I'm surprised that no one brought up Sarah being coded as queer. There are a lot of ways her character is othered, but to me, that was what stuck out immediately.
Dante has a lot to say in this episode.
wow. Just finding this now and episode 1 was 2012 😳
When I asked my my wife how she felt having to use a phallic symbol, (and clear example of the patriarchy), a KNIFE to slice onions, I knew I had enough of this podcast.
The Horror show podcast on bloody disgusting hates you fucking guys
Your knowledge of the Vietnam War and the Nixon era is way off FYI. JFK and then LBJ both continued and expanded the French war in Vietnam. Basically taking over the French War there. The US had a presence in Vietnam going back to the late 1950's. LBJ is most to blame for the escalation of the war. Nixon wrongly tried to bomb the US to victory but the anti war movement and Watergate shut him down as President. Nixon came to power during the last few years of the war. Your movie insights are awesome but you need to read up on history. I was sort or shocked that you thought Nixon started the Vietnam War as 2 college students.
Haven't seen Black Christmas but I can watch it on Hoopla for free thanks to my local library.
