Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we continue our study, today we get to be part of something great...figuring out our spiritual gifts! The church is at its best when each part is functioning according to its purpose, each member of the body is vital for maturity. The ultimate purpose is the growth and building up of the body in love. Love is the greatest virtue and the church is to reflect the love of the head which is Christ. We hope this message serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we strive to grow in maturity of Christ, we do so by deepening our faith and knowledge of the Word which leads us be more like Christ. We are complete when Jesus and the Body of Christ are in union together. We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! In Ephesians 4, Jesus gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit after His ascension into Heaven. These God-given abilities are given for the building-up and strengthening of the church. Paul also reminds us of Christ's descension in the lower parts to preach the Gospel to the imprisoned Spirits. Lots to get to today...dig into God's Word with us!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we continue Ephesians 4 we discuss the things Christians are to be united on, Paul calls them the "ones": body, Spirit, hope, Lord, faith, baptism and God of all. These areas of belief are correct, Biblical doctrine.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we continue studying Ephesians 4 we see Paul's call for unity in the body of Christ. We aren't called to be united with the world because the lost are not expected to believe the same things we say we believe. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! Sadness, anger, unanswered questions...these are all understandable responses when we see evil in action. Today we let God's Word guide us how to move through pain and suffering all around us. The Christ-follower is one who sees evil, and calls it what it is. At the same time, we are not hopeless because Christ is the cure for evil. Take some time and dig into God's Word with us today.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we start a new teaching series called Growing Together, we will be studying Ephesians 4, Paul's call to the church for unity and maturity in the faith. Paul is calling us to put to action that which we know and believe. It doesn't mean we do so to 'earn' our position, but rather to prove the we belong to Christ. We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we conclude our teachings about statements attributed to Jesus but really aren't, we concede looking at the idea of manifestation. Manifestation is the new age idea that you can bring a positive outcome into your life by simply “claiming” it as your own and believing it will happen. Hear this, manifesting is not praying. Manifestation is about control and when we try to control our own lives, we lose sight of God’s sovereignty, His trustworthiness, the perfection in His plan, and the abundant life He offers. We hope this serves this you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! The heresy of universalism tries to negate the work of Jesus on the cross and claims we are not in need of a savior, but that we can save ourselves. Not everyone will go to heaven after they die. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will receive eternal life. Hopefully this fact inspires us to share the Gospel to our world. We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! Sometimes statements are attributed to Jesus the are meant to make us feel good in hard moments, but they are also bad theologically speaking because they aren't Jesus' words; this is one of those statements. The Gospel isn’t about self-sufficiency and getting through hard times on our own, it’s about reliance on Jesus for His sufficiency. Yes, following Jesus provides many blessings, but He never promised that the Christian life would be without trials or troubles. Take some time and dig into God's Word with us!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we continue our study looking at statements we think are scripture but really aren't, we continue to look at some self-centered quotes about ourselves. Without a belief in ABSOLUTE truth, truth is defined by whatever makes me HAPPY. We can KNOW truth because it has been revealed to us in God’s WORD and in JESUS. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! Today we are studying Luke 6:1-11, Jesus healing on the Sabbath. The Pharisees and Scribes were trying to "catch" Jesus working on the day God commanded us to rest. But His rebuttal put them in their place. Take some time to rest in God today. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! A marker of a life that has been transformed by God and for God is when we begin to SHARE God with other. Today we use the Romans Road in learning how to share our faith. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! A marker of a life that has been transformed by God and for God is when we begin to SHARE God with other. Today we use John 3:16 as a helper of how to share Jesus. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we study Romans 12, we discuss what it means to live a transformed life. Not just a catchy phrase but living a life truly surrendered to Christ in every area. We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! It's Resurrection Sunday! We conclude our study in the last words of Jesus form the cross with, "It is finished." Jesus declares our debt has been paid in full, the penalty has been completely served and the battle is fully won! We hope this serves you well.
Welcome to Faith Church Online! Matthew 27 paints a beautiful picture of the crucifixion of Jesus and in it we see the fifth statement Jesus spoke, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Jesus was expressing deep anguish as the sins of the world were place on Him, which caused Him to be separated from His Father for the first and only time. But here's the good news: Because Jesus suffered for our sins & because He endured the spiritual separation from His Father, we may be united with Him and never have to be separated from God’s love.We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! The fourth statement made by Jesus on the cross shows us the humanity of a man who is experiencing normal human responses to a very difficult situation. We can take solace that Jesus experienced what we go through and died for us as God with us and God for us! We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online. As we continue to study the last word of Jesus, we come to John 19. Jesus entrusts His mother into the care of His disciple, John. Even though John was not a biological son, Jesus entrusted her to Him because Jesus is just as concerned about our spiritual health as He is concerned about our physical health. We hope this serves you well!
Welcome to Faith Church Online! As we continue to study the last words of Jesus from the cross, we come across a phrase that gives some people hesitation. Jesus is promising forgiveness and eternal life to a criminal who just professed his faith in Jesus. Paul writes in Ephesians 2 that "we are saved by grace through faith..." meaning it is our of God's kindness and goodness we receive salvation, not because of our own merit. We hope this serves you well.
