I. The Reading of God's Word (8:1-8) A. The people are unified in their desire to hear the word of God (8:1) B. Everyone who can understand God's word comes to listen to God's word (8:2) C. The people listen to God's word attentively (8:3) D. The people prepared for the reading of God's word (8:4) E. The leaders demonstrate their desire to hear God's word (8:4) F. Nehemiah was the cupbearer for king Artaxerxes and was responsible for repairing the wall in Jerusalem. During a time of famine Nehemiah could have taxed the people for food but chose not to. In this episode Nick talks about the beauty in showing others mercy when we are within our rights to show them judgment.
