At this time in King David’s life he had longed escaped the court of King Saul because of his plot to murder him. David gained a team of men who dwelt with him in Judah. The men delivered a city called Keilah only to find that after defeating the Philistines in that town, the men of Keilah would also hand him over to Saul. Though danger was all around him, God provided David a Rock of Escape.

He encourages the people to: "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy" (1 Peter 1:13-16). Here we know, even though believers of Jesus Christ suffer many things, they must keep the faith, and not back slide.

In today's world, we all have come across difficult people and at some point it causes one to be filled with hate and rage. Don't allow the hatred of others pull you down in a pit. Ask the Father to help you forgive any and everyone who has ever offended you. You will feel a heavy weight come off your heart when you do this.
