If we love the world, it will push out our love for God. But if we love God, it will push out our love for the world. Let us seek to love God!

Do you love God? Then it needs to be more than just words. God calls us to live out our love for him by following his ways.

God is LOVE... John tells us that. He says more about God's love in his short letter to the church that most anyone in the Bible. But before even speaking to God's great love, John gives us the basis of God's love... TRUTH... he begins by telling us that God is LIGHT!

The last days... always a fascinating topic but when faced with what the Bible says about what those days will be like, it is a sobering reality. The last days will be dark, dangerous times... the last days will be days of sorrow and mourning and of destruction... and Jesus says the last days will be like those of Noah and the Ark... and here is where our hope lies, for while the story of Noah is one of destruction, it is also of salvation! God provided an ark... and in Jesus, God again provides a way for mankind to be saved!

The last days... what are they? When are they? and what will they look like? Paul writes to Timothy about the culture that will be but his greatest concern is that Timothy's faith will survive what is to come. Likewise, may we not be swept up by culture but learn to stand amidst the current.

A fire brigade would pass bucket after bucket of water down a line of people to be thrown onto the fire in an effort to put it out. But to beat the fire, the key is to pass a full bucket!
The Bible tells us that we have the opportunity to pass on a spiritual heritage to those who come after us, but what is filling our bucket? How can we pass it on? How can we bless our children and friends that are in need of such a heritage?

Perhaps you feel that God just doesn't move like he used to... or that while your parents or grandparents experienced God's power, you haven't. Isaac was in a barren place when he decided to revisit and re-dig the wells of his father Abraham that the Philistines had filled in after Abraham had died. There was a rich heritage there that Isaac needed to search out and dig free. In the same way, God is telling us to re-dig the rich, spiritual wells of those that have gone before us!

God sends us wake up calls...
Calls that awaken us to our need of Him...
Calls that stir us to step up to the plate...
Calls that challenge us to get right with Him and see Him move in and through our lives...
