In Four games FAMU fans have seen the football team play a standard of football that is not indicative of what many who follow this program's rich tradition expect. We have also seen many leadership positions in the Athletic office be abdicated or flat out neglected all while the volleyball team seems to be in the middle of a rebuild. At some point questions are going to be asked about when we should make some pivots on those that are in some of these key positions on campus. Too many recruiting offers to keep up with in the span of a weekend but the FAMU athletic teams have been working to bring in some new athletes to the Highest of Seven Hills. Some of the offers will get more attention than others while others will get overlooked, but the most important thing that we see is that the staff is reloading. The reloading of athletics talent is huge to the future success of the program. While FAMU was off, other teams in the SWAC continued to hold it down for the conference. How important is it that other teams in the SWAC win games?#FangsUp #FAMU #HBCU #HBCUdigital

FAMU was able to defeat Albany State in a game that was very close until the end of the game. But even after defeating Albany State FAMU fans have a ton of questions about what this team will be going into SWAC play. FAMU seems to have QB1 but that could be in doubt, FAMU seemed to have what appeared to be a championship level defense but that could be in doubt and FAMU looked to be a potential favorite to win the SWAC but that could also be questioned. FAMU fans need a win in the worst of ways and it needs to come at the expense of the Albany State Golden Rams. But the Rams roll into Bragg at 2-0 while FAMU limps in at 0-2 and led by a former Rattler. The frustration with what has happened thus far has some fans asking questions that obviously cannot be answered within the time frame of the football season. But this game has some more; concerned than others and the only response is that FAMU needs to come away with a decisive victory to help silence some of those who are now becoming detractors. The FAMU vs FAU football game proved to be an outing that provided the feared outcome while also giving the fans a taste of what they have been asking for. We were able to see RJ Johnson mature into what could be a serviceable QB going forward while the defense seemed to show some concerns that have others concerned as FAMU prepares to play a Red Hot Albany State Football Team.Also FAMU Volleyball came up a bit short while FAMU Golf brought home the gold.  #FangsUp #FAMU #HBCU #HBCUdigital

Rattlesnakes and Burrowing Owls do not share the same burrow and much like in nature we see an instance in which neither team can stay in a so called safe place. FAMU is coming off the heels of a loss to Howard while FAU is looking to bounce back from a loss to Maryland.Each team is desperate for a win for different reasons, but do we truly feel like both teams are truly in a must win mindset? The Orange Blossom Classic was nothing less than an abject disaster on one side of the field. The offense was anemic and left the fanbase asking questions that will haunt them for weeks. Chief among those questions will be centered around the quarterback position and if change is needed or should the staff dig in its heels behind RJ.It was a poor showing from that offense and that has to correctedBut the Defense and Special teams were a bright spot in what otherwise proved to be a disappointing outcome.While the football team massively fumbled the bag, the Volleyball team gave us some hope.
