Feeding the Future

Feeding the Future is a program that converses with educators, food professionals, caregivers, artists and musicians whose work relates to nourishing kids or in some way connecting them to food and its sources. The goal is to provide inspiration and information for feeding our next generation in a creative, rounded way and to emphasize the importance of engaging them in our abundant food culture. Culinary enrichment can instill a variety of practical lessons as well as adventure, curiosity and acceptance in a child. Orianne Cosentino is a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health and has been cooking professionally for a decade. In that time she has worked in restaurants and homes across the globe, developed curriculum for Whole Foods, Astor Center (NYC) and Third Ward (Brooklyn)and does a fair amount of food-related writing (www.upchefcreek.com). She currently caters and teaches culinary classes in New York City. Orianne wants to teach the world to cook just as much as she wants the world to teach her the same. She is the mother of one voracious child.
