Description

Finding Hayami is the rebrand and evolution of Ari Talks. We are no longer simply in a season of blooming; we are learning to admire the beauty of our growth. Ari Talks was my first space for open honesty—being young, being free, and learning along the way. Finding Hayami embraces the lessons of the last four years and finds beauty in everything that came with them. Hayami means “rare beauty” in Japanese, and this new chapter is about learning to recognize that beauty in all things.

So upon further consideration, I realized I had not really gone in depth about why I stepped away. I also didn't tell a whole lot in my conversation with Nyla either, so happy listening !

In this episode Ari and Nyla beautifully explore their creative hiatuses. Laughs are shared, wisdom is acknowledged, and growth is surely evident.Your challenge for this week is to pick up something you've been putting off. It is time you get back to what you love my dear listener.
What a beautiful thing it is to be young, educated, and black. Ari and Kai have a transparent conversation about their views on HBCUs. Ari was a student at Clark Atlanta University, and Kai currently attends Morehouse College. The episode beautifully questions black elitism and issues of HBCUs.As the host of this podcast, I can confidently say that I do not believe HBCUs, Clark in particular, are inherently bad institutions, but I do strongly believe that we have lost the plot. Organizations, affiliations, and titles have become more important than the degree, and I think it's time to talk about it.Listener discretion is advised, the language used is not suitable for all listeners.
First, Ari made a comeback. Then, she discussed the inspiration, dove in to the process. Now she beautifully acknowledges where it all began.
