Description
Raffi Cavoukian is a magical musician. His songs, like “Baby Beluga” and “Down by the Bay,” have wordplay and rhyme schemes that are as crowd-pleasing as they come — sweet, silly sing-alongs for kids and adults alike. But his work is anything but simple. Much like the folk singers who inspired him, a radical philosophy underscores all that he does. In "Finding Raffi,” comedian, writer, and podcaster Chris Garcia takes us on a journey through a 10-part series tracing Raffi’s life from aspiring folk singer to international kids’ superstar to outspoken activist for climate action and a child-centric world. Produced in partnership with Rococo Punch.

As someone that watched Mr. Rogers as a child I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. He help me understand compicated emotions that at the time I did not understand; which even now I struggle with from time to time. Thank you for making this podcast.
I was disbelieving of the comments referring to racial motivations. surely a podcast about Mr. Rodgers supercedes racism? He was against that.... mr. Rogers introduced me to people of color and I loved and accepted him just like he showed me, as true for my life. Then there was a comment/joke made that Mister Rogers is an "acceptable white person" implying that most white people aren't okay? it was a commentary that went on for a few minutes and was apparently funny to The host, while I was severely hurt and offended. That sounds like Reverse Racism to me. Taking a stance to say- "most white people are not okay but Mister Rogers is okay" - saying that like it's funny perpetuates racism among black people. Shame on you for using racismwhere it did not apply. Mr. Rogers always made an effort to be in inclusive!!?? I get the implication that you think that most white people are not good and worthy and mean well ....and that is racist thought process. racism goes multiple directions. Other
I loved every minute of this. I loved the input of the guests and hosts. I found it thought provoking. Those who don't appreciate the perspective of the creators were not listening. Thank you for this be series.
this is amazing
"Don't worry it has a happy ending" 😂😂😂 oh wow Beth is so funny!!
Is something missing at 19:12 or am I just misunderstanding the conversation?
empathy is difficult because people don't have empathy for themselves
I absolutely love this podcast, although for me it hasn't been the light listening I usually prefer. Some of the episodes left my quite emotional as I connected stories told by both the narrator and by Fred to my own life. I find it really sad to see so many hateful comments on this show. It's the people who are running away from this that really need to hear this, and to watch Mr. Rodgers. I'm not a religious person, nor am I usually one to display public emotions, but Fred (and this narrator) have a message I think it's important for all of humanity to hear. And if you think that teaching love and compassion is "leftist propaganda," I both feel incredibly sorry for the lack of love you've felt in your life and encourage you to take a long look at the values being preached by whatever political flag you wave.
I listened to this entire series. I loved it. thought provoking and very compassionate. I very likely don't agree politically with the host and some of his guests, but that doeany matter. What they say matters and this is well worth your time! the only thing I don't like about is that it is only 10 episodes long.
I truly enjoyed and appreciated this series. I find it ironic to read other comments completely disregarding the message of Mr. Rogers in an attempt to politicize his message. He was about kindness and love, the polar opposite of the tribalism and vitriol of modern political "discussion."
so thankful for this show! well done in so many ways 💓
As always, his message has been misunderstood because it is rooted in Jesus Christ's teachings in the Bible
please name a politician who hasn't lied.............
I stayed up all night last night listening to every last episode. Fred Rogers is a humble juggernaut of goodness and justice and mercy. It was honestly baffling to read the first 4-5 commen about the big feelings being felt by folks squawking about the "Left." How did we listen to the same podcast?
OK my eyes are sweating....this is a touching episode!
Sad how we are caught between Fear and Desire, and cannot understand being liked for who we are.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Watch the movie for how Mr. Rogers approached presidents he didn't like, which was all of them. This misses the mark.
Love this show.
Seems like this story is basically racially motivated again dividing races, he talks about the kids in the pool getting arrested, be real, it’s a private pool, anyone would have been arrested regardless of skin color regardless if in 1964 or today. He talks about white racists marching, but he neglects to mention the hatred pushed by antifa or the marches blocking white people from crossing the bridge on the Berkeley campus
