Description
Casual magic is about how we find beauty in the mundane everyday.
It's learning not to wait for joy at the end of our achievements, but to find contentment NOW in every single day of our lives.
It’s that first sip of herbal tea in the morning, a smile from a stranger, or the way the light comes into your bedroom. Noticing trains your brain to redefine joy.
Stay tuned for alternating episodes — one solo, and then a tandem ep where I bring on a guest to expand from a new angle.
I want to serve up my vulnerability to softly encourage you to do the same.
Welcome to this cosy corner! Jade x

Hiiiii friends, welcome back to this lil corner of the internet!!! The third episode of ✨Finding your Casual Magic✨ (it still doesn’t feel real ahhh).
Thank you so much for all the love on my first two episodes, the launch of episode 1 was incredible and I had the most amazing time chatting with Ruby in episode 2. It means the world to feel so supported, so grateful for you all
But in TODAYS episode I am back with another solo episode and this time we are tackling our 20s!! The grand topic that is the stress and pressure of being in your twenties and the pressure to be and do everything all the time, all at once. No matter who you are, where you're from, what your cultural background is, I think your twenties universally feel like a very stressful time.
As always, I open with a short guided meditation which allows you to settle in and feel grounded in the otherwise hectic, whirlwind of our lives. I start the episode with some facts, studies show that young people now have the poorest mental health of any age group, which is actually a reversal from two decades ago when they had the lowest incidence of common mental disorders. That’s wild!!! I also talk all about post-graduation life, dealing with burnout, the impact of social media, cultural and societal pressures and how to live more intentionally in your twenties.
I close the episode with my ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ and a Casual Magic from one of you guys followed by intention setting for the week ahead. Grab a journal or open your notes app and join me as we ask ourselves…
What is something I’m proud of this week?
What went well this week?
What is a little win that I can celebrate?
What is something that didn’t go well this week?
What is something that challenged me this week?
Based on these reflections, choose a one word intention for your coming week.
I am so grateful that you’re here and I hope you love this first episode, and if no one has told you today, you are enough. 💛

Hi friends, welcome back to ✨ Finding your Casual Magic ✨ (ahhhh I still can’t believe I’m saying that) and welcome to the first ever guest episode!!
The way this podcast works is I am going to find a guest who pairs really well to the theme of my previous solo episode and in episode one I introduced Casual Magic, looking into what it means to find beauty in the mundane moments of every day. When I was brainstorming who represents this idea best I couldn’t think of anyone better than my dear friend Ruby Granger.
Ruby has one of the most incredibly inspiring journeys, she started off as a studytuber similar to myself, inspiring people to love learning, to feel less stressed about exams and to kind of find this intrinsic joy within studying.
Not only is Ruby this powerhouse YouTuber with almost a million subscribers who she inspires in such a multitude of ways but she is also so much more than that, the way that she carries herself as a person and on the Internet radiates kindness.
After gracefully receiving a rejection from Oxford, Ruby went on to study English literature at Exeter University and recently just did a masters at Oxford so she is such a testament to not letting rejection define you and to continue striving for your goals as you enter different seasons of life.
In every episode I begin with a short guided meditation which allows you to settle in and feel grounded in the otherwise hectic, whirlwind of our lives before myself and Ruby dig into everything from her successes to her failures, her incredibly inspiring mindset on the world and also how she finds joy independent of her achievements.
The episode closes with ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ followed by intention setting for the week ahead. Grab a journal or open your notes app and join me as we ask ourselves…

Hi friends, welcome to this brand new cosy lil corner of the internet!!! The first EVER episode of ✨ Finding your Casual Magic ✨ (ngl I’m a lil scared hehe).
Casual magic is about how we find beauty in the mundane everyday. We tend to look forward to the 1% of days in our lives to find joy, like the birthday, the wedding, the job promotion.
But honestly, 99% of our lives are just the same routines — and how sad would it be if we only chose to experience joy 1% of the time? Casual magic is about looking for these tiny moments in every day that are casually magic.
In my first episode I open with a short guided meditation which allows you to settle in and feel grounded in the otherwise hectic, whirlwind of our lives. I then share with you my journey on how I became a studytuber, the inspiration behind my channel name and how I discovered Casual Magic. I share examples of when Casual Magic has played an important part in my life, including how I managed to balance my increasing workload and university life whilst navigating mental health challenges within my family.
I close the episode with my ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ followed by intention setting for the week ahead. Grab a journal or open your notes app and join me as we ask ourselves…
What went well this week?
What is a little win that I can celebrate?
What is something that challenged me this week?
What is something I would change coming into next week?
Based on these reflections, choose a one word intention for your coming week.
I am so grateful that you’re here and I hope you love this first episode, and if no one has told you today, you are enough. 💛

Hi friends, welcome to this weeks episode of Finding Your Casual Magic! ✨
Finding Your Casual Magic Season 1 Survey: https://form.typeform.com/to/SbInOEx9
This week, we’re exploring one of the hardest experiences in life—heartbreak. Whether you’re healing from a breakup, considering one, or just processing loss in a broader sense, this episode is here to be your warm and safe space. 💛
Heartbreak is tough, but what if we could use it as an opportunity for growth? In this deeply personal episode, I share a step-by-step guide to navigating heartbreak in a way that helps you regain your personal power, learn about yourself, and open your heart again when the time is right.
We begin with a grounding meditation (because centering yourself always helps), then dive into:
🌿 Why clarity is the key to healing and how to stop dwelling in “half-breakups”
💔 How to truly feel your feelings instead of suppressing them (no, being busy isn’t always the answer!)
📖 Lessons from We're Not Really Strangers and How to Love Better by Yung Pueblo
🌊 Why breakups are a form of grief—and how to move through it in a healthy way
💡 The power of self-reflection: what narratives and habits are keeping you stuck?
💞 Knowing when you're ready to love again and whether "rebound relationships" are really a bad thing
🔥 The Boy Sober trend, Gen Z’s struggles with dating apps, and why in-person connections feel so hard
⚡ Learning to embrace a “boring love” that actually brings you peace instead of anxiety
And of course, we end with my Casual Magic of the Week—a sweet, unexpected moment of joy—and one from a listener that might just make you smile too. 😊

Hiii friends! Welcome back to this lil corner of the internet!
It’s time for another episode of ✨Finding Your Casual Magic✨ and I am SO excited to have you here with me.
First, a massive THANK YOU for all the love on the last few episodes! Reading your messages and hearing your casual magic moments has been the most heartwarming thing ever—it truly makes this space feel like a community. 💛
In today’s episode, we’re diving into one of my favourite topics ever: friendship. 🌟
We’re talking about how to create and sustain deep, meaningful connections in adulthood, embracing the bravery required to be vulnerable, and learning how to lean into those moments that test and strengthen our relationships.
I open with a short guided meditation to help you feel present (a little pause for you in this busy, busy world), and then we get into the nitty-gritty. I share my own journey with friendship - what I’ve learned from being a self-confessed “bad friend,” how productivity culture impacts the way we connect, and why intentionality is key to maintaining close friendships.
Plus, I reference some fascinating studies on loneliness, social media’s role in modern friendships, and why the health benefits of deep relationships are just as important as diet and exercise.
Some of the insights in today’s episode come from:
How to Make, and Keep, Friends in Adulthood: https://bit.ly/4al22Dw

The Roles of Social Media Use and Friendship Quality in Adolescents’ Well-being: https://bit.ly/4g1K4an

Of course, we close with our Casual Magic of the Week (shoutout to Maike from the Netherlands for their beautiful story about reconnecting with nature 🏞️). Then, as always, I guide you through a moment of reflection and intention setting for the week ahead.
I hope this episode leaves you feeling inspired to reach out to a friend, make someone feel loved, or even reflect on what friendship means to you. 💌

Hi friends, welcome back to another episode of ✨Finding Your Casual Magic✨
This week, we’re exploring joy, optimism, and how the smallest moments can light up our lives - even when everything feels heavy. Joining me is the radiant David Larbi, a content creator, poet, and host of the podcast Mindful Moments. He’s also the author of the wonderful new book, Frequently Happy: 52 Mindful Moments to Bring Hope and Joy, which is all about embracing everyday magic.
In today’s episode, David opens up about his journey of finding joy in the little things and reframing life’s challenges with gratitude instead of guilt. From his love of words and storytelling to what he’s learned from setbacks, David’s insights will inspire you to see the magic in your own life. 🌻
We begin with a grounding meditation (always a good idea to centre yourself) and chat about:
Why optimism isn’t about ignoring challenges but about navigating them with hope 🌈
How storytelling can help you take control of your own narrative 🎭
David’s journey from school journaling to becoming a published author ✍️
The lessons he learned from his shoulder injury and the power of slowing down
Finding joy in connection - even if it means embracing the “cringe” sometimes!
We also share our ‘Casual Magic of the Week,’ with David’s moment being so heartwarming it’ll make you smile (even if he’s keeping his playlist secret!). 💛
The episode closes with my ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ and we hear from Marwyn who shares their Casual Magic followed by intention setting for the week ahead.
Grab your journal or a cosy drink, and join us in reflecting on:
What went well this week?
What are you proud of?
What challenged you?
Let’s set a powerful intention for the week ahead. 🌟
I just want to send you this reminder that no matter where you are in your self confidence journey, no matter how you might feel today, you are always enough. 💛

Have you ever caught yourself saying, oh, I'll be happy when I have the perfect partner and I'm no longer single? When I finally quit the job and I'm in my dream career, when I go on my dream holiday, or when climate change is solved and no one's suffering in the world anymore? When have you reached a goal but felt unfulfilled shortly after? Have you ever caught yourself thinking that when you cross that finish line everything will fall into place, only to realise that there's a new race ahead? I really hope today's episode re inspires you to realise that today is a gift. Your life is a gift, and your life is actually pretty amazing right now as it is.
Today we're looking at something that I'm so passionate about. The illusion that our lives will feel better in the future after some vague outcome or life event, when the truth is you will carry the feelings that you have about yourself and your life now into whatever destination you're trying to get to. I'm going to walk you through a visualisation to help you really feel the deeper messages of today's episode and this idea of the arrival fallacy, which is when we think that upon achieving our goals, we'll finally attain all the happiness we desire, when in reality, a lot of the time the goalpost just changes. I'm also going to tell you about some of the happiest people that I've ever met and how generally the source of their happiness is being content with the now exactly as they are, with exactly everything that they have.
The episode closes with my ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ and we hear from Marlene who shares their Casual Magic followed by intention setting for the week ahead.

Hello friends, welcome back to a very special bonus episode of ✨ Finding your Casual Magic ✨
So many of you guys DM'd me on Instagram asking for a guided meditation and I thought what better time of year than as we're all looking ahead into the new year thinking about our dreams, daring to dream again, thinking about what we want to manifest into this next chapter of our lives.
So I really hope that this time can allow you to fill your cup, bring in the positive energy that you desire, and really help you tune into gratitude for all the abundance that's already present in your life so that you can help invite more in.
And if you've never meditated before, I promise it's not scary. I really invite you to be open minded, to allow your experience to be whatever it is and and I really hope that you come away from the next 15 to 20 minutes feeling some kind of energy shift. You can practice this meditation whenever you like, but I recommend returning to it regularly if you really want these manifestations and visualisations to embed themselves in your psyche.
I hope you enjoyed this episode and as always I just want to send you this reminder that no matter where you are in your self confidence journey, no matter how you might feel today, you are always enough. 💛

I hope you're feeling festiveee!! As it's coming to the end of 2024 today I am sitting down to reflect on my year answering some questions you guys have sent in. I look at all sorts of topics from career to love life, queerness, feeling lost in your 20s, feeling insecure and the crazy world of social media. I really hope that this episode feels like a safe space to pause and take a moment to really reflect on all that has happened in this year for you, the good and the bad, and to really decide what energy and intention you want to carry into your 2025.
It is genuinely such a joy as always to be hosting this podcast and that you guys are in this corner of the Internet with me. So many like minded people all around the world, all of us interested in self growth and introspection and trying to find optimism in an objectively difficult world and it's just an honour.
As always I start with a guided meditation to be here with intentionality, to use this time and space as a true break from from the hectic whirlwind of the rest of your life. Before we launch into the end of year Q&A!!!

Eeeeeep hi friends, welcome back to the 10th (!) episode of ✨ Finding your Casual Magic ✨
This week we're redefining wealth. What does it mean to be rich? How can society's definition of wealth actually lead us to feeling unfulfilled?
To help me answer this I am joined by Sahil Bloom. Renowned entrepreneur, investor, writer of the newsletter ‘The Curiosity Chronicle’, and most excitingly, debut author of an upcoming book called ‘The 5 Types of Wealth’.
Sahil has interviewed thousands of people around the world to redefine wealth in 5 compelling ways.
I open the episode with a guided meditation to help you feel grounded before launching into the episode. From prioritising energy-creating tasks to unlocking more time in your day, creating deeper bonds, and building a powerful network to achieving financial independence, this conversation will remind you of what is most important in life.
The episode closes with my ‘Casual Magic of the Week’ and we hear from Mar (@marumithreads on Instagram) who shares their Casual Magic, followed by intention setting for the week ahead.
Grab a journal or open your notes app and join me as we ask ourselves:
What went well this week?
What am I proud of?
What is something that challenged me this week?
Based on these reflections, choose a one-word intention for your coming week.
I just want to send you this reminder that no matter where you are in your self-confidence journey, no matter how you might feel today, you are always enough. 💛
