On today’s episode with Litsa Williams, who is the program director and co-founder of the platform or website called What’s Your Grief, we talk alot about what Litsa calls nonfinite loss —which is a grief that persists and changes as aspects of life continually fall short of expectations. In other words, we talked about how we can begin to create the space in our hearts and our lives to grieve the unmet expectations or unfulfilled dreams that we all have inevitably experienced over the course of our lives.I honestly don’ know if there has been a more timely podcast than this episode, especially given everything that we have experienced individually and collectively over the last year. We’ve all experienced so much loss over the last year and Litsa does such a great job at walking us down a path of healing throughout this episode. And just so you have a little more information about What’s Your Grief, their mission is to promote grief education, exploration, and expression in both practical and creative ways. The achieve this mission by providing: Resources related to understanding and coping with grief and loss Guidance on how to help a grieving friend or family member Online courses about grief and supporting someone who’s grieving Resources, education, and training for grief counselors, grief volunteers, and other professionals working in fields related to grief and loss. A podcast about grief A supportive communitySo whether you are grieving, supporting someone who is grieving or a grief professional, they have something for you. It’s truly an astonishing and helpful platform. I’m not just saying this, but it really is something special. You can learn more about What's Your Grief, here.Follow them on Instagram, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
On today’s episode, I had the privilege of sitting down and talking with my friend Katie Horwitch who is probably one of the most well-spoken individuals I've ever come across. Her words, her stories, her teaching points, everything that she talked about throughout this podcast is so powerful, relatable, encouraging and healing. On this episode we talk a lot about what it looks like to reconnect to your passion especially during a time that we can feel so disconnected in life and then towards the second half of the episode, Katie courageously opens up about how her deep need to control things in life eventually lead to an eating disorder and she then goes on to talk about how and what it looked like to work through that season of life.Katie is amazing and she is doing such amazing work in the world and I’m so so grateful for her.Just to give you a little background, Katie is a writer, speaker, mindset coach, and the founder of WANT: Women Against Negative Talk, a platform that gives women tips, tools, motivation, and inspiration to move forward fearlessly by shifting their negative self-talk patterns. You can find her website, here. You can find her Instagram, here. You can find her Podcast, aka, The WANTcast: Women Against Negative Talk, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
I think that we can all agree, especially if you’re someone who is trying to do your best of tuning in and honoring your truth, the still small voice guiding your life, that there inevitably comes a time when your soul comes knocking on your hearts door and whispering to you that this is the way. Like, this is the direction that you’re supposed to go.And often times, the way, it’s not clear, it’s full of uncertainty, it doesn’t always make sense and therefore you can’t really explain why you’re about to do what you’re about to do.First off, if you are in that season I just want to say that I honor you because I think it takes a tremendous amount of courage to even acknowledge that path. And secondly, if you’re there or you’ve been there before, then you know that honoring your truth during these decisions is really grey because it’s not always clear and usually there’s some sort of metaphorical death happening. A letting go. A walking away. And it can be hard. And I don’t know about you, but for me, there are times when I can’t help but to wonder if I’m actually hearing my soul’s call, my truth, that’s leading me on my journey of finding my way, or is this just a rogue feeling and in all actuality I’m about to blow up my life and make a huge mistake.Well, lucky for us, there are those who have gone before us who have laid out questions and wisdom that can help mirror back to us, if we’re willing to be honest with ourselves, if in fact that what we are hearing or the decision that we’re about to make is actually our truth or if there is something else happening. In this short 25 minute podcast, I cover 4 questions, or thoughts, that can help you navigate this season of life.Learn more at www.calebcampbell.meSubscribe to my newsletter, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome back to another episode of Finding Your Way. Today on the show, I had a chance to sit down and talk to Dr. Caroline Leaf about her new book, Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess.Dr. Leaf holds a very special place in my heart and you’ll hear about it it at the beginning of the episode, but after this podcast and having the chance to sit and talk with her more, I just have the utmost respect and adoration for her. The work that she has dedicated her life has not only changed my life but I know it has changed the lives of so many others. And, I say this with 100% confidence, I know that it can also change your life. You know, when I first started this healing journey after walking away from the NFL, I came across a quote by Victor Frankl, and maybe you’ve heard it, but it says between stimulus and response is a space and in that space is the power to choose our response. And, in our response, lies our growth and freedom. That’s so powerful and I bring up that quote because alot of what Dr. Leaf’s book, Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess and also this podcast episode is about is essentially the step by step process on how you can began to recognize that sliver of space between stimulus and response in your own life and begin to choose your response in a way that is conducive to the life that you actually want to live.To sum it all up in a sentence, it’s really all about learning how to take back the power to your life.In her book, Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess, Dr. Leaf breaks down the five action-oriented steps called the Neurocycle, that will help you eliminate the root of anxiety, depression and intrusive thoughts so that you can begin to build a healthy new and automated neural network inside of your brain. It’s powerful, powerful, powerful. We hear all about you know, doing the work, and this is the work. Literally, the playbook of how to do the work. And if you don’t know, Dr. Leaf is a communication pathologist and a cognitive neuroscientist and what I love about her is that she has the uncanny ability to take the very complex science and all the intricacies around what is happening in our brains as we are not only traumatized, or experience trauma in life, but also as we are healing and she is able to break it down in a way that enables you to comprehend, and understand and to see more clearly what is actually happening.Another cool thing that you should know is that Dr. Leaf was one of the first in her field to study how the Brian can change with directed mind input. She has helped hundreds of thousands of students and adults learn how to use t heir mind to detox and grow their brain, helping them succeed in every area of their lives, including school, university and the workplace. You can follow Dr. Leaf, here. You can buy her new book, Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess, here. You can follow me, here. You can subscribe to my new newsletter, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Hey friends! Welcome back to another episode of Finding Your Way.On today's episode, I had the chance to sit down and talk to Antonio Neves. And, on this episode we talk about leaning into joy and how we have the tendency stiff-arm life in order to protect ourselves from getting hurt, let down or disappointed. Then we move on to really getting down to the basics of what it looks like to embody the trust that is needed to begin to wake up to this truth that we are enough right here, right now. Then, about midway through, Tony gives some practical advice on what it looks like to follow the still small voice that’s guiding your life and how to find the courage to say yes to that whisper that’s leading you deeper into your destiny. There is so much goodness inside of this podcast and I just know that you’re going to get something from it.With that being said, to give you a better understand of who Tony is then you should know that he’s the author of 4 different books including, Stop living on autopilot: take responsibility for your life and rediscover a bolder, happier you. He’s also the host of a well known podcast called The Best Thing, where he talks with leaders about the best thing that has happened to them that would never appear on a resume. You can learn more about Tony, here. You can find Tony on Instagram, here. You can find me on Instagram, here. You can sign up for my weekly newsletter called, Finding Your Way, where each week I share personal stories, poetry, ancient wisdom, and spiritual self-discovery practices and resources in hopes to help you navigate your own journey as you find your way.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Hey friends, welcome back to another episode of Finding Your Way. And, with this move, a lot of grief has surfaced--and it hasn't been easy. When I moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, I expected my life to look a certain way by now and I didn't know how much these unmet expectations were and still are playing a role in my life. So, on today's episode, I just wanted to have a vulnerable, open and honest conversation about my life and how I'm navigating these unmet expectations and learning how to step into greater measures of acceptance. So, if you're someone who feels like maybe nothing goes your way. Just recently I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down and talking with Ryan Weiss who is a life coach, writer, speaker, entrepreneur, but most importantly, he’s just an overall great person that just exudes so much compassion and empathy.Let me put it this way, I think if Tony Robbins and Jim Carrey had a spirit baby, it would be Ryan. Not only does he drop these knowledge bombs while also holding space, but he’s full of charisma, energy and has this really deep and special curiosity about life. And what I loved most about Ryan is that he will be the first person to tell you that he’s not a guru. He’s just a guy with a life much like yours who loves to share how he’s finding hope and joy even when the world around him seems to crumble from time to time. You can imagine that as one of LA's premier Life Coach and meditation teacher, we had a lot to talk about. And on this episode, we talked about Ryan's core wound and how he's worked through it and we also talk alot about how to sit, process and accept uncomfortable emotions.Ryan is also the founder of the Sanctuary Challenge — a free 60 day commitment to five daily self-care practices currently being undertaken by thousands of people all over the the world.Find Ryan on Instagram, here.Find the Sanctuary Challenge on Instagram, here.Don't forget, you can save 20% and get free shipping when you use the code CALEB at manscaped.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
I recently had the chance to sit down with Spiritual Teacher and Astrologer, Danielle Paige and my god is she a force to be reckoned with. About 7 or 8 months ago, astrology kept popping up in random conversations that I was having with different people and I realized that it was something that was trying to get my attention. So, I reached out to an astrologer who was recommended to me, booked an appointment, and for the first time had my birth chart read. And, I can honestly say, that this session has had such a massive impact on me—especially when it comes to understanding my purpose in life and the work that I’m called to do.I have to be honest with you, leading up to that session, I had so many misunderstandings and misconceptions about what astrology is. And, I’ve done a lot of inner work and that session helped me see things and understand things about who I am and why I’m here that I haven’t been able to see or understand yet. SO a big reason why I wanted to have this conversation with Danielle Paige is to address those misconceptions and also give you, the listener, especially if you’ve never had your birth chart read, a taste of what it is like.First half of this episode, we talk about the misconceptions of Astrology and how it differs from just reading your horoscope. And on the second half, Danielle does a quick dive into reading my personal birth chart. If you don’t know, Danielle Paige is an International Spiritual Teacher, Soul Astrologer, Host of Cosmic Body Podcast and Founder of Purposely Divine: School For Your Soul and Astrology Mystery School. She’s a self-taught astrologer, who’s been reading the stars for lifetimes, she continued her studies with some of the world’s top astrologers. She then devoted herself to learning different types of healing to create her own style of spiritual medicine. By fusing astrology, energetic healing, and intuition, she is able to help her clients heal their wounds, clear old patterns, and help them come back home to their heart. She has worked with some of the biggest names and brands in the businesses and has traveled to over 32 countries doing this work.Learn more about Danielle, here.Get your birth chart by clicking, here. And, don't forget, get 20% OFF on MANSCAPED products when you use the code CALEB at www.manscaped.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome back to another episode of Finding Your Way and the first episode of 2021. This episode is easily one of my favorites and not just because I have my wife, Kara, on the show.Seriously, I love this episode for so many different reasons, but what I love about it most is that it's just a very candid conversation between my wife and I about where we are at in life financially, emotionally and spiritually. On this episode, we talk about what we are leaning into emotionally as individuals and how we hold space for each other as a couple. We also dive deep into how we process and navigate big transitions in life, the fears that are coming up in regards to finances, and last but not least, we talk about the vulnerability that comes with finding community. There is so much happening in this podcast but I promise you'll get something from it.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
I have to be honest, today’s episode is special to me.Each week, I get to sit down and talk with some pretty amazing people doing amazing things in this world, but I haven’t yet had the chance to sit down with with anyone who stood along side me and who played a first hand role in my own transformational journey—meaning someone who was physically there with me.As some of you might know, when I left the NFL, I moved to Canada where I did a deep dive into my own healing which transformed my life in the most unimaginable ways. Today’s guest, Tim McMorris, was one of the key people who played a pivotal role in my transformation. He created space for me, encouraged me, mentored me, and mirrored back to me things I just wasn’t able to see myself. But, here’s the deal, Tim isn’t some pastor or life-coach. He’s actually an internationally recognized music producer, composer and recording artists. His music has been featured in marketing campaigns from some of the biggest brands around the world—brands like Toyota, Adidas, Subway and Samuel Adams. And, I’m not just saying this because he’s a friend, but Tim’s music is some of the most life-giving music I’ve ever listened to. It’s impossible to listen to his music and not smile or feel something come alive inside of you. Don’t believe me? You can listen to a new song from his latest EP, Hope, called Promise Land, here.Regardless if you’re a music fan or not, I promise you’ll get something out of this episode. Like so many other people who’ve accomplished their dreams or who are highly successful, Tim’s journey wasn’t linear and it definitely didn’t happen in a way that he expected it to happen. So, we dive deep into the journey of shifting your perspective while holding on to your dreams, overcoming adversity and most importantly, staying true to yourself. So, if you’re somebody who has a dream in your heart and you’re facing some resistance, or you need a little encouragement, I promise you’ll walk away from this episode feeling more encouraged and inspired than you were before.Learn more about Tim, here.Find Tim on Spotify, here.Check out his latest music video, here.Find his music you can license, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Steven Matthew Adams is the author of On The Way, which is a practical guide to manifesting sustainable happiness in your life and also a well respected coach and workshop facilitator. But, most importantly, he’s just a damn good guy with a-lot of good things to say. I loved our conversation for so many reasons, 1. Because it was basically a therapy session for me, haha, but also 2. Because Steven has a way of communicating and putting to words what so many of us feel, myself included, but don’t necessarily have the language for what we’re feeling. On this episode, we talk about what it looks like to remove the pressure from trying to “do” something with your life to aligning yourself as a conduit so that the universe can work through you, and then we dive into a conversation around what it looks like to live life from your heart and your head. Lastly, we end this conversation in a way, that honestly, left me in tears. I think we can all agree that so many of us are feeling lost in life these days, myself included, and Steven so beautifully creates the space that really helped me, and I think it will also help you, navigate this space of feeling lost. You can find Steven on Instagram, here. You can find Caleb on Instagram, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
I'll be honest, I've never thought of myself as someone who deals with depression.I don't know if it's because I have the propensity to spiritualize everything in my life, or if it's just been flat out denial. But, if I'm being honest, depression is something that I deal with not just here and there, but most of my life. I think for so long, I've been able to will my way out of depression through performance and achievement and any sort of forward mobility. But, with life coming to a screeching halt, I've had no where to run to and I've had to really look at my relationship with depression and how I can begin to cope in healthier and more effective ways.On this episode, I briefly talk about my experience with depression, especially these last few months, and the 4 ways that I'm building resilience around depression and coping with it in healthy ways.I hope that this podcast blesses you.You can find me on Instagram, here. You can read more about my journey, here.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Last week I had the chance to sit down and talk with Rob Starbuck. Rob is not only a friend of mine but he’s also a well known breathwork coach here in Los Angeles. We discuss it in the podcast, but I met Rob shortly after having my first panic attack shortly after moving to LA and his breathwork class forever marked my life. To give you a little more context, Rob discovered his passion for breathwork after playing college football at Georgetown University. Shortly after moving into a 9-5 post college job that left rob feeling frustrated as if he felt something was missing in his life, Rob felt called to leave his previous life behind, move to LA and adopt a healthier lifestyle. It was through this transition from Chicago, leaving his old life that no longer served him behind, that he found the power of breathwork that changed his life. Now, Rob is sharing this transformative practice with others around Los Angeles. Rob believes breathwork to be the most effective modality in achieving clarity, connecting with our higher selves and tapping into the deep pool of creative energy we all have access to. So, if you want to know more about breathwork, if you’re in that liminal space of letting go of the tried and true and waiting for the new, if you’re stepping away from a previous life and starting over, this episode is definitely for you. Also, if you live in the LA area, then I would HIGHLY encourage you to check out one of Rob’s breathwork classes at Sanctum LA. His classes are each Wednesday night at 6:30pm and on Sundays at 9am and 11am. You can also learn more at his website, here. Find Rob on Instagram, here. I couldn't be more thrilled about this episode of the Naked Soul Podcast because it's on this episode that I had the chance to sit down with the incredibly talented artist and highly successful entrepreneur, Emily McDowell. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am that I get to call her a friend. Emily is one of those people that you can't help but to smile when you get around her. She's an overall amazing human and I sincerely mean it when I say that this world is a better place because she is here. And on this episode, we talk about how Emily changed my life when she sent me a message on Instagram that ended up with me moving to LA, then we dive into what it looks like to follow your heart when those around you don't necessarily agree, healing your inner child and why it's so important when it comes to following your heart. We then dive into why we hold on so tightly to identities that we should be shedding and what it looks like to choose yourself on a daily basis. You can find Emily on Instagram, here. In short, the Naked Soul Podcast is all about getting aligned—spirit, soul and body—so that we can begin to live from a place of truth and authenticity. And honestly, when it comes to living from a place of truth and authenticity, I couldn’t think of a better guest then my guest for this episode—Amanda Bucci. There are so many different things that I love and admire about Amanda, but what struck me the most about our time together was that Amanda isn’t afraid of taking risks with her life. But as you might know, taking risks with your life isn’t easy. Sure, it opens you up to experience life in new and sometimes unimaginable ways, but it also makes you incredibly susceptible to immense pain, heartbreak, failure and loss. And Amanda, as you’ll hear in this episode, is not exempt from that pain. But regardless of the obstacles that she has faced throughout her journey, she has had an uncanny ability to keep her heart positioned in a place of humility where she’s always willing to learn from the criticism or failures, and do the inner work that’s necessary to grow and evolve. In this episode we break down and talk about her problems with people pleasing and how she worked through it. She even goes on to open up and talk about the the perfect storm that the universe orchestrated to get her to slow down and begin to pay attention that what’s most important—her heart. We touched on overcoming Imposter Syndrome, creating a life that you’re proud of and what it looks like to choose yourself. In this short clip, Sarah breaks down how we can begin to find our purpose in life through healing our emotional trauma. I used to think that I would find my purpose through playing football or other external pursuits, but that isn't the case. Our purpose has been with us this entire time, it's just been buried beneath mounds of unresolved pain and trauma. It's through healing that we begin to see not only who we are, but why we're here. The answer is always in the pain. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
