This week we talk the Tannehill Titans! I mean... Tennessee Tannehills... I mean Tits! We recap the divisional round of the playoffs, briefly talk about the Texans dichotomy of sub par coaching with elite QB play, Tannehill, predictions, and of course whether the Dolphins made the right choice moving on from Tannehill.
We also recap some of the coaching changes recently to occur, give props to Dan the Man Marino, and more!

Welcome back to another episode of Fins Up Fans Down! Your reactionary Dolphins podcast, for reactionary Dolphins fans!
This week we are back after a bit of a hiatus due to the holidays, and scheduling conflicts. We're back to discuss the end of the season, managing to get 5 wins with this roster, our confidence with Brian Flores as a whole, and some coaching changes, and roster situations post-season. After discussing the end of the season, and changes immediately following the season, we get into the QB talk. We talk the top 5 draft, possible trade ups to be worried about, our thoughts on Tua and more! There's plenty of offseason ahead of us, and plenty of Fins Up Fans Down this offseason to carry you through it. Next week we return to dissect the roster, and talk holes to fill via free agency!

This week we recap the Jets game where Jason Sanders (inspired by Mikes recent Fins Up) made 7 field goals to nearly win us the game, but ultimately lost the game due to a contriversial pass interferance call. Brian Flores almost murders a man on field, we laugh at the Jets, and Adam Gase, and much more! We continue to be shocked and confused at who exactly plays on our defense, and watch in awe as our own personal Lamar Jackson carries this team down field over and over again.

This week we recap the week 13 WIN over the Philadelphia Eagles! An offensive shootout (yes I said those words in 2019) win! This game had it all! Devante Parker, Mike Gesicki catching everything thrown their way, touchdowns galore, trick plays, ballsy playcalling (too ballsy?) even no defense!
Mat and Mike recap the win, gushing about the great performances by our playmakers, talking a little about the implications of the upcoming draft with the new developments with Tua, and the Bengals win, and of course which route we should take now that things are shaping up. Most importantly we enjoy the fantastic win over a flawed but good NFL team.
We end the episode with our Fins Up Fans Down segment (Jason Sanders you finally earned Mikes vote) and then a quick prediction heading into the Jets game.

This week we cover a return to normalcy with a blowout loss against the Bills. There were some highlights, namely Devante Parkers consistency as a #1 WR, Jakeem Grants kickoff return, wildcat touchdown, and general higher usage, and of course a phenomenal onside kick from Jason Sanders. However there were also lowlights -- Kalen Ballage, abysmal offensive line play, Kalen Ballage, etc.
Following the Allen Hurns fumble we were in for a one sided affair, while there were highlights to the game the second half specifically is a bore. We trudge through and wrap up the podcast with a Fins Up Fans Down, and a preview to the Browns game -- which looks to be a complete opposite view of the 2019 Dolphins. Incredible talent vs horrible coaching? Or good coaching, but horrible talent? Which will prevail?

This week we celebrate ANOTHER WIN! Not just another win, but the second in a row, with a great defensive effort. We have the full crew back this week, and Noah, Mat, and Mike talk about everything from praising the coaching staff, to bashing on Rosen for his 3 handoff preformance, to other coaches in the league not looking so good, to our no-name players consistency. A very fun record, we give each other a lot of crap while watching the game, hype up the future all-pros like Nik Needham, and talk about what this team will look like post draft in 2020.

This week we celebrate our first (and only?) win!! While we celebrate the win, and give all the praise in the world to coach Flores for keeping control of this sinking ship, we also deeply dissect our time with Adam Gase, and look at (and laugh) where the Jets are as a franchise. Unfortunately Noah couldn't join in the fun, but Mat and Mike have a great hour celebrating and soaking in the misery of the Jets. We talk about an overall improved offense, the surprise of a defense with a bunch of practice squad level players holding the ship down, a team who appears to be disciplined, and of course the possible ramifications of our win compared to the draft.

This week we recap the Monday night football game, our 7th loss on the season to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Were we embarassed? Or was it just a simple lack of talent we couldn't overcome? That's the question. Overall it seemed to be a lack of talent, the only real embarassing moment being the defining 3rd and 20 call. The question for THAT however is did we purposefully tank, or was a horrendously bad decision? We probably won't know, but that's the defining questions from this game. Overall it was a game of smooth offense until it wasn't then domination over our offensive line. Numerous turnovers that should be able to be cleaned up / won't happen with inferior defenses. A complete decimated / no talent secondary, and some players coming into their own this season. We also talk about the Kenyan Drake, and Aqib Talib trades, and who we're going to be targeting in the draft. We close out this weeks episode with Fins Up Fans Down, talking about how horrendous the Jets are, and Adam Gase as a whole.

This week Mike and Mat were the only two recording since Noah was busy. We spend the pre-game talk discussing the future of Kenyan Drake, optimism moving forward from this preformance, and frankly laughing at the potential bust QB's our rivals the Jets and Bills may have chosen last year.
When we move into the game, we break down how much heart the team is showing, the quicker processing from Fitzpatrick, Mark Waltons quasi breakout, the improved defense, the up and downs of Preston Williams, and much more! Overall a fun game to re-watch, and definitely a game that has you feeling better about the direction this coaching staff is leading the team than the past few weeks.

This week we recap the Tank Bowl 2019 (Redskins @ Dolphins). What a game it was. the game had it all! Rosen playing poorly with the worst blocking we may have ever seen, up and down defensive plays, complete lack of offensive talent, a near comeback win from Fitzmagic, and a horrendously executed 2pt conversion which sealed the loss. And perhaps locked up the #1 overall pick?
A lot to get into, plenty of Rosen talk, coaching complaints, praise where it can be found, but most importantly talking about your new and improved Dolphins team, the Tennessee Titans! With starting QB Ryan Tannehill, and beloved Cameron Wake!

This week we watched the Alabama @ South Carolina game to get a full games look at Tua. And while the competition wasn't the best, the verdict was extremely positive. We noticed some high passes thrown if you're nitpicky, but the footwork, fast and smart decisions Tua showed, as well as accuracy in contested coverage gave us quite a bit of hope. The only thing stopping this Hype train is a slew of 0-4/5 teams between the Jets, Bengals, and Redskins. The Redskins clearly being the topic of conversation as TANK BOWL 2019 draws near.
We also toss in some Browns talk, with what our hopes and expectations for this season are moving forward. Also the conversation of -- What if we DON'T get Tua? Other options in 2020, or look forward? All in all a short episode with not a lot to talk about, but we fill in the time looking forward to all the Dolphins are giving us to look forward to: The Draft.

This week we are back after missing a week (sorry!) Mike had some medical issues related to his left eye going blind. Likely due to watching this horrendous team. (everything will be fine in time)
In this recap, we briefly talk about the Cowboys game, Mike and Mat saw it live, we go over how the game went in depth, and talk about the similarities of the Cowboys game and Chargers Game. Is the second half a coaching defect, or a talent deficiency?
Past that we get into the game, talk about all of the good: Between the improved O line, defense making solid plays, gaining our first lead, certain players stepping up... But then get into the bad: Certain players not showing effort, dropped passes, Rosen as a whole, Eric Rowe in general, and more!
We wrap up this episode by talking about how we view this season. It's a BYE week next week, and now that 25% of this season is over, how is it? What do we think the future holds? Is there a chance of another team ruining the tank for Tua? All of that and more!

This week we recap (another) disatrous loss against the hated New England Patriots 43-0. We cover everything from the recent Minkah Fitzpatrick news, to the improved defense, but absolute S***show of an offense, to Fitztragic, the dropped balls, Kalen Ballage and more! Once we cover the game we jump into yet another tough Fins Up Fans Down segment followed by some very pessimistic week 3 predictions. We close out this weeks podcast discussing whether you should tank for Tua, or build the team and go for a QB in 2021.

This week we watched the utter beatdown from the Ravens on the Dolphins home opener. Throughout the rewatch, we break down everything from pulling an Old Yeller on Eric Rowe, Minkahs horrible preformance, Preston Williams being a HoF'er, and of course the ultra-controversial topic of tanking. All in all, the rewatch was less painful than we all thought it would be, some glaring mistakes by *ERIC ROWE* and others, but hopefully some things that can be correctable. A horrible opening by Brian Flores, but while we may expect more losses, maybe we shouldn't expect more blowouts. Only time will tell.
After we recap the game, we jump into our 3 Fins Up! and our 3 Fans Down... of the week. Finally we give our predictions.
Join us as we recap the entire 2019 Dolphins seasons, and react with you, the fans!

WE'RE BACK! (Yes really) Through a rough offseason, we took a break from the podcast. Whether it was scheduling conflicts, lack of content, or just straight depression with the state of the team -- we decided for the 2019 we wanted to bring the podcast back. This episode is a reboot of sorts. To counter the scheduling conflicts we've had we brought in our friend, and past guest Mat Chapman to the podcast as our 3rd Co-host! In this episode, Mat joins Mike and Noah to give the thoughts of the total rebuild offseason. Breaking down the latest news, thoughts on the future, and hopes or skepticism for the team. We hope you'll join us for the 2019 season where we plan on bringing some structure and consistency to the podcast, and have fun where we can, in what's going to be a rough season.
FINS UP!
What's up guys! Noah and Mike are back now that there's news to actually discuss! We break down everything from our last episode now -- which includes the combine, and the first round of free agency. So many record breaking contracts, news on various NFL teams, the hilarious Anthony Barr to the Jets situation, and much much more. So much NFL news in fact that we spend the entire first half just talking about the rest of the league.
On the 2nd half of the game we break down all the Dolphins news, which include the few signings we have made, the signings we DIDN'T make, breaking down the remaining holes on the roster, and of course talking about Kyler Murray or whoever our future QB may be. There's a small breath of fresh air as we begin to realize the front office and coaching staff does have a vision that is taking form.
Throughout all of our talk of current NFL news, and what little Dolphins news there's been, we jump back and forth talking about this fantastic 1985 bears game. A quasi shootout with a reminiscent Bears team from this past year, Dan the man absolutely shredding an elite defense, the many Moores, and the great receivers of the past.
Finally we say our goodbyes to Tannehill and the Legend Cameron Wake, but we'll have to re-watch a more proper current game as our farewell to these two.
Basically we have a jam packed all-over-the-place near 3 hour extravaganza! Sit back relax, and enjoy the first wave of Dolphins news we've had in weeks!
Phins Up!
What's up guys! Noah and Mike are back! Back to discuss everything from the last time we talked, which was the post season up until now. We more or less gloss over the depressing post season and move on to the new coaching staff the Dolphins hold. We talk about everything we find good, or bad about Flores and his new staff, as well as our reasons for optimism, vs reason we may be pessimistic. There's a lot to get into with a new coaching staff of course, but there's also a lot to get into with the players we may retain. The next segment we dive into are the bubble players. Be it Ryan Tannehill, Andre Branch, Devnte Parker, Robert Quinn, Josh Sitton, Kiko Alonso, TJ Mcdonald, Reshad Jones, or even the players in free agency, or on the so called trade block. Guys like Cameron Wake, Xavien Howard, Kenyan Drake, etc.
After we talk about the bubble players, and the new coaching staff, we dive a little deeper into the Xavien Howard trade rumors, and all the possibilities of new quarterbacks. Be it free agency, retaining Tannehill, or a free agent, we cover all the options. Finally we move on to the final segment of tanking. Tanking has been a prevalent discussion with the fanbase with the last few weeks. We first define what exactly tanking is, then discuss (rant) about tanking, and what it really means. After pouring our hearts out on what tanking truly means, we decide to turn the page and finally move to a new chapter in Miami Dolphins history.
Here we are guys -- Brian Flores, Chris Grier, let's see if they finally turn the page. Phins Up!
After a long end-season hiatus, Mike and Noah are back to break down all of went wrong, and went crashing and burning into a hellfire to finish out the season.
Between being on vacation, being sick, and the holidays Mike and Noah didn't have time to break down the Vikings, Jaguars, or Bills games. So they begin to talk about how awful those games were, and how awful Gase was to close out the season. Did he give up? And what the hell was up with his excuses tour?
Then of course we dissect the firing of Adam Gase and promotion of Chris Grier. How we feel about it, how we feel about the inevitable move on from Tannehill, what our hopes are for the future state of the team, our worst expectations, and most importantly... Who we WANT to hire, and take charge of this team moving forward.
We apologize for our hiatus from the podcast, but strap in for a longer, and extra depressing "Phans Down" themed episode of the podcast!
OH... MY... GOD...!!!!
Is there anything more to say? Well we try to not JUST gush about the miracle in Miami, but dissect some other aspects of this game. We spend most of the intro just gushing about the game as a whole, giving praise to the defense for shoring up in the 2nd half, and how it seems to be a trend in divisional games to correct your mistakes, while perhaps opening up other weaknesses along the way. (Perhaps a sign of something to come vs the Bills week 17?) We talk playoff hopes now that we're 7-6 and just the fact that we're 7-6 despite the injuries we've faced in general.
Moving into the game, we talk a lot about the mental mistakes Brady, and the Patriots made, how their run game was ineffective due to our LB's and DB's, but gave some heavy criticism to Minkah, and how much we missed X on this game. We talked a lot about the RB's as a whole, and how each one of them, Gore, Boldin, Drake brought something different to the game. We spent a large amount of time talking about Tannehills future, and how much we respect him for the ironman that he is, and of course the defense for again getting us in position to win this game with 7 seconds remaining.
We talk about our moods at various points in the game, and when we thought we had lost this game, but ultimately all we really do this re-watch is gush about how much we love this game, and talk up our top performers.
Moving past the game, we give our Phins Up and Phans Down rankings:
Phins Up: Kenyan Drake, Ryan Tannehill, the LB's (Kiko and Raekwon particularly)
Phans Down: Minkah Fitzpatrick, The rest of the CB's, Mike Gesicki
Finally we wrap up with predictions for our upcoming game!
Vs The Patriots
Noah: 32-22 Vikings
Mike: 27-22 Dolphins

What's up guys! Noah and Mike are back after missing the last game vs the Colts (sorry!) to recap the latest home win over the Buffalo Bills! We start the episode by recapping the general feels of Dolphins nation after the Colts loss, the feeling heading into this game, the general concerns to end the season, and ranting about how close this game particularly was. While there's some doom and gloom in the air (and really it's been there most of the season) we are again .500 and in the wildcard race.
Once we get into the game, we talk about the positives from Adam Gase as an offensive schemer... but criticize him for his poor consistent playcalling. We try to be fair given the offensive line, and injuries he's been dealing with, but we're growing frustrated with the lack of consistency, and overall poor performances week in and week out. Above all we heavily criticize the defensive scheming, and how (boring?) we're wasting the insane young talent we have on defense under Burkes scheme. We talk up our playmakers on defense in depth throughout the episode, and give all the praise in the world to the NFL's new best cornerback Xavien Howard. Plenty of talk about Minkah and the future of our secondary as a whole as well.
Moving beyond the positives, we talk about how poor Kiko Alonso is, or rather how improperly he's being utilized, how Raekwon took a step back this game, Tannehills injury possibly still bugging him, and our inability to not only stop rushing QB's, but the problems we have with wide open receivers all game. Finally we get into some ex Dolphins / ex Bills player talk as well.
Moving past the game, we give our Phins Up and Phans Down rankings:
Phins Up: Xavien Howard, Robert Quinn, Akeem Spence
Phans Down: Kiko Alonso, Jesse Davis, Raekwon McMillan
Finally we wrap up with predictions for our upcoming game!
Vs The Patriots
Noah: 32-27 Dolphins
Mike: 31-28 Patriots
