Well sports are pretty much done at this point until football starts... but don't worry we've still found a way to bring you some of that good stuff. NBA and NHL Finals recaps as well as some coaching/trade news in the NBA. Strap in for some extended NCAA Doomsday action here soon we're coming at you with force!
Some more NBA and NHL playoff talk! As well as our opinions on Dan Hurley turning down the Lakers' huge offer to be their next head coach. Are the Oilers doomed? Is Jalyen Brown really the Celtics' best player, per Jason Kidd? Is Carlos Alcaraz going to be able to last through his injuries? All this and more on this episode!P.S. Sorry about the shaky audio quality at times. I'll do my best to edit the lags out but some parts may be super sped up because of that.
The brothers are back just in time for Summer! This episode is a bit of a hodgepodge of topics because we wanted to cover as much as possible for the almost 5 months that we missed. NFL talk, NBA and NHL finals predictions, and why golf just hasn't felt the same recently are a few of the featured topics today. We hope to have you back (or here if this is your first time listening) for the remainder of the Summer! Feels good to be back spitting.
Just as we promised! The boys are back for March and ready for the Madness. In today's episode we cover what we usually split up into two different episodes: analysis of the bracket overall (seeding, placement, regions) as well as all 63 of our picks. As always, we're bringing it all for you guys in this one and hope you're as excited for the weekend as we are!
Happy NFL Playoffs! Today we give some of our predictions about how important home field advantage will be this Super Wild Card Weekend as well as our predictions for Super Bowl teams and winners. We also delve into some coaching talk for both NFL and Alabama's quick turnaround. And we haven't forgotten about college basketball either! Some of that in here too for those who are fans outside of March Madness. Enjoy!
Happy New Year to all! This is actually a great episode that gets into the weeds of the whole Florida State being salty conversation, so buckle up! But before that, we've got some unfinished business to take care of with the NFL MVP award as well as a few teams that surprised us and disappointed us over the course of the NFL regular season.
We're back!!!! After being gone for what seemed like an eternity (we know you guys missed us and were waiting impatiently for our return), the brothers have found their motion and come back to talk some football (with a little basketball and baseball sprinkled in).P.S. If you're still hating on Patrick Mahomes, you're a casual. That's all I'll say.
In this episode of FDRD, Matt gets into a long discussion about the frequent shortcomings of both the Dolphins and Cowboys, and how similarly their teams have fared against good and bad competition. Then, we cover the Bengals' convincing win over the Bills on Sunday Night, noting that this is definitely not the same team from the beginning of the season, and how there might be something brewing behind the scenes in Buffalo. Finally, it's time to explain why Michigan won't face any punishment regarding its sign-stealing scandal. They may have cheated to some extent, but it seems like other teams were in on it. Even if the NCAA does try to bring legal action, Matt gets into why this process ultimately won't work out. And, above all, with Michigan being one of the best teams in college football this year, any form of punishment would result in the worst case scenario for all parties involved... they don't make as much money!Hope you enjoy the episode! Please leave a review on the show and let us know what you like or what we could improve on going forward!
Welcome back to FDRD! It's been a while since the last episode, so Matt gives a State of the Union address to each of the major sports going on right now. We discuss the many reasons for lower scoring in the NFL so far, the first edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings and what's going on with the Michigan sign-stealing scandal. Then, we get into some NBA talk as the season is a mere two weeks in, going over the huge trades with Damien Lillard and James Harden. Finally, we end off with a review of the MLB season and World Series, with a special tribute to the upcoming start of the college basketball season.Hope you enjoy! Please leave a rating on the podcast so we can hear what you like about the show and grow our audience!
Matt is back to recap Week 3 of the NFL slate, including the Dolphins record-breaking win over the Broncos and where each of those teams are headed in the future. Then, we hit on the Texans and Colts who had surprising upset wins over much better opponents this past weekend. The Jets, Bears, and Cowboys all suffered bad losses and Matt goes over what the future holds for these teams. Then, we transition into college football, discussing Ohio State's close victory over Notre Dame, Colorado's loss (and why this is not such a bad thing), as well as Clemson's close loss to Florida State and why Clemson's future is in doubt if they are not willing to utilize the transfer portal going forward.
Welcome back to another episode of FDRD! Matt roles solo to recap Week 2 of the NFL Season and Week 3 of College Football. We talk about the Bengals' struggles and Joe Burrow's potential. Then, we try to unpack the Broncos unsuccessful season so far and how it might only get worse from here. The Browns/Steelers MNF game is analyzed to determine which of the teams are good, and the Patriots and Dolphins seem to be heading in different directions.Lastly, we discuss the two biggest stories in college football. Deion Sanders is changing the sport and Matt goes into the massive ramifications this can provide. Then, with bad showings from the SEC's best teams, we get into whether or not there is a power change at the top of college football. Thanks for listening, and we're continuing to grow the channel! Please leave a rating and review to help us grow even more!
Matt welcomes on a VERY special guest to the podcast this episode. We discuss all of the biggest news from Week 1 of the NFL, including Aaron Rodgers' injury and the Jets upset win over the Bills. We also mention the Cowboys dominating the Giants, the Chiefs looking mediocre, and the Rams surprising upset of the Seahawks. Then, we get into the two biggest college football games so far this year, with Texas' huge win over Alabama as well as Florida State's dominant showing over LSU. We hope you enjoy, and please rate the show to let us know what you think!
