HA is a condition when menstruation stops due to a dysfunction in the hypothalamus. This can be from undereating and working out too much. Caitlin said within her practice she sees a lot of PCOS clients who were diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome actually have HA. She also sees women who have PCOS go on a very restrictive diet and work out too much and develop HA.
