Foofaraw

This show is produced for the people of W&M, by the people of W&M. We are eternally bound by the institution’s commitment to quirky humor and giving a ridiculous amount of attention to trivial, nonsensical, irrelevant aspects of daily living. Hence the name, Foofaraw. Some of the conversations you will hear are parallel to those that take place in a dorm room between the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. The views expressed by the co-hosts of the show do not necessarily represent the sentiments of the institution or its student body. Please keep in mind that the opinions given on the show are entirely for the pure entertainment and enjoyment of the audience and/or co-hosts. We'd love to hear your ideas and comments, so please reach out to us at: foofaraw.theworld@gmail.com

So Long, & Thanks for All the Fish

We are going out with a bang! In this special season and series finale, Maddy and Tara talk about things that are near and dear to their (regularly-shaped) hearts: Hamilton, what it means to be a human, television and scavenger hunts! From pondering the puzzle pieces of playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda's play to analyzing the all-inclusive attributes of anthropomorphic beings, this episode promises both excitement and entanglement. Be sure to also take part in Maddy and Tara's Quarantine Quote...

Remakes vs. Originals, Nature vs. Nurture

Listen, as Maddy and Tara's casual conversation about Dora the Explorer somehow evolves into a philosophically-powered powwow that dives deep into the realms of resonance and handedness. *Correction: Tara, after asking her mom, actually had her cast on for 3 weeks when she was a kindergartener (even though she said it was 6 months). We blame her exaggeration of recovery time on her terrible memory and on the fact that everything seemed more dramatic when she was five years old.

Segues, Screenplays, & Nonsequiturs

In this verbose episode, Maddy and Tara seamlessly transition from witless word-finding to pitiful word-pronouncing. And if that's not enough to satisfy your intellectual cravings, Tara announces a special project that she has been working on --19 years in the making!
