We're back this week with another exciting episode of Football á la Turca, despite the Turkish Süper Lig being on a hiatus due to the international break. Our usual suspects return as Burak, Kaan and Özer look back fondly on a great start to Turkey's EURO qualifyign campaign with wins over Albania and Moldova and to do so they are joined by former TRT World and now DAZN journalist Bruno Bottaro. But the true meat and potatoes of this episode lies in the foreign limit debate, because as you may or may not know the return of said dreaded limit is a real possibility. We look at several interesting quotes from the likes of Semih Kaya, Selçuk Sahin, Servet Cetin, Baris Yardimci and Batuhan Karadeniz in favour of a foreign limit. While Kaan, Bruno, Burak and Özer will do their best to convince you otherwise. Bruno in particular gives us his keen insights on why Turkey should not implement a foreign limit and how that could put a halt on the momentum the league has been gaining in recent years. Bruno also gives us a potential breaking news story, as he reveals that DAZN Japan has picked up the Turkish Süper Lig rights for the next 3 seasons (Shinji Kagawa effect?). As always we encourage you to interact with us on Twitter, agree or disagree with our standpoint and opinions? Do you have a sane argument as to why Turkish football needs foreign restrictions? Please share your opinion with us on the Twitterverse! Bruno Bottaro (@Br1bottaro) Özer Dindjer (@Ataqoz) Kaan Bayazit (@Razzerian) Burak Sezgin (@Burakiosaurus) Football á la Turca (@FootiealaTurca) Thank you very much for listening, please drop us a 5 star review on iTunes, we would truely appreciate it! ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

The Turkish Süper Lig continues to grow more exciting by the week, the battle for second please seems to have been fought, as Galatasaray beat Besiktas at Türk Telekom Arena, which almost certainly guarantees them a top two finish. Basaksehir once again stumble, meaning Galatasaray overtake them at the top of the table for the first time since matchday 9, on goal differential. Elsewhere Göztepe get another big win, over 5th placed Antalyaspor, moving them out of the relegation zone, at least for now. While Erzurumspor deal Bursaspor a massive blow in their hopes of avoiding relegation. Plus, a heated debate on the derby between Özer and Kaan and all that while missing a match for the ages in the Champions League, all for your entertainment! Welcome back to Football á Turca with the conclusion of the 2018-2019 Turkish Süper Lig campaign, with the Championship already decided we only had third place left to be decided between Besiktas and Trabzonspor, but more importantly Göztepe, Bursaspor and Erzurum had to determine among eachother which two teams would join Akhisar in the second tier of Turkish football next season. This week Kaan Bayazit (@Razzerian) was joined once again by Umut Naderi (@Eidolast), Burak Sezgin (@Burakiosaurus) and the returning King Özer Dindjer (@Ataqoz). ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
